- 2023 MG7 Trophy+ in-depth Walkaround
The New 2023 MG7 trophy+ is a fastback sports saloon with a sleek and attractive design. The launch includes the 405 VTGI Trophy and the 300 VTGI. The former features a 2.0-liter petrol engine with a nine-speed ZF gearbox, producing 254 bhp and 405 N⋅m of torque. Meanwhile, the latter has a 1.5-liter petrol engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, producing 183 bhp and 300 N⋅m of torque.
It is unclear whether the MG7 will be exported to Europe, as MG Europe has positioned itself primarily as an EV brand. However, the MG7 could be well-received in Europe if made available, as it is an impressive petrol-powered sedan.

That MG7 looks pretty cool, just thought it would have sounded as cool as it looked... With those quad exhaust I truly thought it would have had that grimey AMG or M/// sound or even at the very least like a Audi when its cold lol but thats what you get from a 1.5 ltr engine I suppose.

@@scottmurray8483 he is goofy af. Probably doesn’t even drive a car yet. Ik you have a 4 series, which is also great, but especially an M4 that would dog this lol. I can tell the buttons in this car will break after a couple/few years. And all the sounds when you tap on anything kill me. Overall pretty neat car, but not superior to BMW at all.

As usual, MG's gives too much where it is not needed, and where it could give something, it leaves unsatisfied. The exhaust is like from at least a 5-liter V8, the bose system has long ceased to be the best, the memory of the seat is ok, but the lumbar support is manual ... poorly very poorly ... The screen, as in any other new car, does not impress, the leather upholstery is cactus? is it just eco leather? During the presentation of the space on the rear sofa, the front seat is pushed unnaturally forward. This is evidenced by the movement of the front seat backrest behind the pillar between the doors. Opening the trunk with the key is a very old option in cars, while closing the trunk with a button has also existed for a very long time. Keyless? ten years ago maybe a cool invention, but today it's a standard. Manual steering wheel adjustment, poor plastic .... see the glasses compartment, it's disgusting. 19" wheels are ok, but what are they for in this car? Probably just to increase the unsprung mass. 256 bhp and 245/40 r 19 tires? It's not a GTR. Why does he need a rear wing? Cool thing, I wonder how much it will work?

Good looking car, I’ll admit that. But there are so many “borrowed” design elements from other brands. Interior looks good but look & listen closely: the plastics are cheap.
Quad exhaust, looks fantastic, very promising….but we all heard him start the engine…..so, how many of them are real exhausts ?

Lots of similarities with a bmw 3/4 series. The infotainment, automatic tailgate, the rear seats among other things. Wouldn't be surprised if they used the same chassis.
