There are a lot of songs now days about how the West is in dire straits, but this might be the first I've seen that actually acknowledges that it isn't really the fault of the newer generations, but in fact the older generations. Most politicians are over 50 years old and they know for a fact that the policies they push are dystopian and short-sighted, but they don't care. So long as they profit from the suffering of the people who "elected" them. Very based song, all in all.
Whilst I do agree that it's not _primarily_ the fault of the younger generation (who perhaps wasn't even alive when things were set in motion), I still find these songs... divisive? I don't really agree with the message of the song - like, yes, our country is in a sorry state of affairs, but it's no-one's particular fault. Is it the fault of the politicians? Sure, partially. Is it the fault of the immigrants? Sure, also partially. Is it the failure of the system, the politicians, the immigrants, the wider majority of people who only see the immigrants as cheap, second-class labour and apply their own stereotypes against them, thus causing an "us vs them"-mentality, furthering the descent into crime as second-generation immigrants feel like they have nothing to lose by turning to crime? Also yes. I'm a social-democrat, but even I can say that the system is fucked and desperately needs reform - but we can't pin it on one definite group - all of us helped fuck it up, wether we like it or not.
Its not just Sweden, I live in Rotterdam and work in the Hague, its frustarting how much ppl in Amsterdam and Utrecht turn a blind eye to the problems cause by mass immigration

As a Malaysian i can relate to this song very much. We are currently having the same issue as Sweden but I think the Malaysia issue on immigration is bigger than Sweden. Malaysia and Sweden are in totally different parts of the world and have very different cultures and history, but they are both ethno-states in the sense that they are nations whose name and identity comes from their historical ethnicity, Malays and Swedes respectively. Absolutely, no one's denying it - however, the problem isn't just "muh immigrants are uncivilised and should be deported", it's literally because we, the majority-population, look down upon them and refuse to help them lift themselves out of ghettoized poverty and give them an actual chance to get good wages and respectable jobs. Crime arises when people see no other way to sustain themselves and get nice things by lawful means. Finnish and Yugoslav gangs were a massive pain in the ass during the 60s, 80s and 90s, but they've now stopped - why? Well, because the Finnish, Yugoslav immigrants and their kids built generational wealth that helped get them out of poverty and helped them integrate into wider Swedish society.

I was born in 1995 and I might be part to of the last generation that knew a safe Sweden. This knowledge hurts like hell, knowing that those older than me and those in power let this happen, knowing that my future children won't grown up feeling safe, knowing that people are still blind to this. I don't even feel safe anymore. When I voice these fear I get called a racist and told that I am hateful. When I one day got locked out and my parents was away for a few hours he took care of me, a fucking pimp! He was a trustworthy fellow back then, I was safe with him! When I as a teenager I could walk home feeling safe, having my headphone in while walking home in the middle of the night and just know that I would get home in the end of the day. These days I can't... I feel unsafe at night, and during daytime, we have shootings and bombings almost every day here. The papers say it was "Swedes" who did it, but the pictures show people who are from various sandy countries. I wish I could go back in time... I miss my country... Some days I feel like moving to a country that still believes in itself, like Finland or Poland, I really want to just be a proud Swede, or at the very least a Germanic European... As a Malaysian i can relate to this song very much. We are currently having the same issue as Sweden but I think the Malaysia issue on immigration is bigger than Sweden. In my whole life I have never had a day where I understand a word from strangers and it is difficult to differentiate between local and immigrants because Indonesian faces look like Malays, Chinese (Local) have similar face/languages with Mainlanders (PRC), Indian (Local) having similar faces with Bangladeshi and Indian from India. Long time ago Women in Malaysia can use busses without caution but now they need to be cautious my sister usually skip a certain bus schedule because during that time there are a lot Foreign workers using the bus and the smell is very unpleasant. some local Chinese can't even speak Malay i don't even know how they get citizenship without mastering the Official language and there are news Foreign workers doing crimes in Malaysia. In Malaysia, between 2016 and 2019, foreigners were involved in over 42,000 criminal cases. The most common offenses included theft (12,647 cases), house break-ins (11,862 cases), and motorcycle theft (4,822 cases). In more recent years, the number of crimes committed by foreigners has continued to rise. For instance, in 2023, 2,366 foreigners were arrested for crimes, marking a 20% increase from the previous year. Crimes included murder (202 cases), rape (111), assault (377), and robbery (1,085).

Absolutely, no one's denying it - however, the problem isn't just "muh immigrants are uncivilised and should be deported", it's literally because we, the majority-population, look down upon them and refuse to help them lift themselves out of ghettoized poverty and give them an actual chance to get good wages and respectable jobs. Crime arises when people see no other way to sustain themselves and get nice things by lawful means. Finnish and Yugoslav gangs were a massive pain in the ass during the 60s, 80s and 90s, but they've now stopped - why? Well, because the Finnish, Yugoslav immigrants and their kids built generational wealth that helped get them out of poverty and helped them integrate into wider Swedish society.
This is one of the best songs on the channel I've ever heard. It not only reflects the conflict between left and right, conservative and liberal, previous and next generations, it also shows the issue of cultural and ethnic conflict. The song probably doesn't just refer to Sweden, but it can also refer to many other places in the world, and we may realize many things in life after listening to that song.

I was born in 1995 and I might be part to of the last generation that knew a safe Sweden. This knowledge hurts like hell, knowing that those older than me and those in power let this happen, knowing that my future children won't grown up feeling safe, knowing that people are still blind to this. I don't even feel safe anymore. When I voice these fear I get called a racist and told that I am hateful. I pray to God in heaven each day that I will never get a daughter, and that is something absurd to pray about, to pray that I may never get a beautiful baby girl. It is messed up.
There was an angry pimp living where I lived as a kid but even he was kind and had a human side. When I one day got locked out and my parents was away for a few hours he took care of me, a fucking pimp! He was a trustworthy fellow back then, I was safe with him! When I as a teenager I could walk home feeling safe, having my headphone in while walking home in the middle of the night and just know that I would get home in the end of the day. These days I can't... I feel unsafe at night, and during daytime, we have shootings and bombings almost every day here. The papers say it was "Swedes" who did it, but the pictures show people who are from various sandy countries. I wish I could go back in time... I miss my country...
Some days I feel like moving to a country that still believes in itself, like Finland or Poland, I really want to just be a proud Swede, or at the very least a Germanic European... There's not many proud Swedes in Stockholm anymore :/
Today it's even offensive to ask if a dad is man and father anymore...

Jews weren't as europeanised as they are now, and the same thing is about Muslims right now. If we want to preserve our national treasures and keep this country as good as possible, we should know whom we are letting in and in how big amounts. They are criminals not because government is too harsh on them and treats them like trash, but because of the opposite - the government gives them opportunities to come out of any crime without consequences.
