For those that don’t know me I was popular on TH-cam despite only having my channel for just 8 months.
I had over 540 videos nearly 1 million watched hours, several thousand subscribers and was gifted products to review from companies.
Unfortunately in April 2024 I felt compelled to take it down due to my personal safety was compromised.
However since then safety measures have now been put in place allowing me back on TH-cam.

Yes!!! I'm 55, and I have been a full-time nomad in my caravan for the past 5 years... Got so burnt out running my own business that I ended up completely crippled with autoimmune Rheumatoid Arthritis. Was put on disability and couldn't afford to rent my house anymore, so I got very depressed, moved into my caravan, and felt very sorry for myself.. but as I slowly transformed my rolling home into the cutest place ever and spent lots of time in nature, moving from mountains, to beaches, to the outback...wherever my heart desires at any moment and slowly but surely I healed. I make a bit of extra money busking with my saxophone when I feel up to it, and now I honestly can't imagine living any other way!

I’m trapped in a house, but not for much longer. I used to live in a small caravan late 90’s worst thing I ever did was go back into a house.

Ah man, I really wanna do it. Saved up just over 20k. All I've been doing is working the past few years. No holidays, no breaks. As a young man, I can't see myself obtaining any kind of property wealth in the UK just like so many others. The main thing I'm struggling with is not being there to support mi ma. She has kids, no dad to support so I've been the man of the house supporting financially where I can. Its selfish, but I need to live my life. I'll keep paying the Internet bill for the kids 😅. All I've done is study and worked hard for the past 25 years I've been on this planet. Something has gotta change.

Great video and I’ve thought about this many times. Have you looked at the woodlander initiative? The idea is 1000 people with £1,000 so we can buy parcels of land all around the country and have the freedom to travel between all of them.

You don't need a hole you have access to water - the sea. All the water you need right there. You just need a mega home distiller slightly bigger than a kettle. You have all the pure water you need👍
I worked for an agency earlier this year and was hammered. They had another firm who sorts the wages and deducts it from you! Wasn't happy.

Yep, I'm a wage slave mate, but you know what I enjoy after work, is driving up the road to the peak district in my van and winding down, whether it's a bit of radio or reading a book or doing a bit of photography, or even just listening to the rain on the roof... I feel so mutch better away from it all, kinda feels similar to camping.
It costs me a fortune to insure my van BTW. I bet it cost even more insurance to live full time in it, but still allot cheaper than living in a house no doubt. I have also romanced with the idea of buying a plot of land but it needs more research. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, you never know how inspiring you can be to others. Take it easy fella.

This day n age , i think the minimum wage needs to be 1k a week or just spinning ya wheels for other people . Av house should be no more than x3 annual wage imo .
When you read the negativity against vanlife it’s usually someone trapped in a situation they feel they can’t leave , vanlife gives everyone an option regardless of bank balance ,to live the life they want to live ,job you enjoy not detest ,example > sea aquarium in Newquay recruit regularly for temporary staff if that’s your thing or life guard etc ..doors open with vanlife for sure .

We're just getting started, dipping the toes. She's got one more year until retirement, he's got a ways to go and will continue working full time. BUT - we're starting now and who knows how it ends up. Our general sentiment is the same though, too many people kick the bucket shortly after they retire, so why wait? Start now.
and on the topic of money, don't get me started. The problem is fiat that can be printed at will, debasing everyone's wealth and making it impossible to ever get ahead. Fix the money, fix the world. Store your wealth in BTC.

I've been trying to spread this same message! I completely agree with you! I will add that if you are still very young and hearing this message, it's not a bad idea to work hard for a couple years and sock that money away. Then it will be there for you later on. Even 50-100,000 in investments....set it and forget it.
I live in a Prius but I still have to work 40 hours a week gas oil food car insurance isn't free.
