  • Goes more quiet than a new car.
    The 2,0 HDi is a very good engine. (108 Bhp 250Nm)
    Might be one of the best engines PSA ever done, and in the Xantia it's perfect.

    I had a Xantia Estate as a company car in 1999 until 2002. Great car, so smooth

    Nice video. Great cars. I've had 3 Xantias over 600,000 miles here in Ireland. My 1st was a 1.9td, 2nd was a 2.0 16v series II and the current one is a HDi 90 with 210k miles on it; 140k of which I have done since 2005. I only replaced its FIRST clutch 1000 miles ago and apart from that and a camwheel, its been simply tyres, timing belts, spheres, drop-links etc. Best car I have ever driven and I drove lots of cars as a sales rep. I will drive it til it drops; which is simply unlikely...

      They are awesome cars and underpresionated. Maybe i wrote some wrong. Got 1.9 td break (poland here). This is real understentimated car. I got your feeling.

    Just recently bought an x1 from 1995 with 34500km. Have done 1700km and it works a charm, but I will have suspension n hydraulics checked next week. Usually u pay big money for a ride this good.

    I got a Xantia HDI 110 Exclusive , and it was a very very very good familial car, great confort, fantastic road touch, nicely build in comparison with more recent Peugeot/citroen production, but sorry, for me, this engine was so boriiiiiiiing... it should have more 40hp to set with the cars quality

    Miss my Xantia... :( By the way it looks like you rear height corrector might need service or adjustment since it sits above normal ride height in the back. I had this problem and had to dismantle and clean the unit properly to get it to work. Another problem that causes the back to ride high is a plastic linkage that breaks (and is supposed to) when the corrector jams. Thanks for the video... Svensk antar jag? :)

    • @TheDiskins
      @TheDiskins  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, that is classic problems. I have fixed the height at the rear and at the front, 3cm too high in the rear and 1,5 cm in the front. Easy fix. Rides so smoother now. :).

    Do not steer to the opoosite. It hurts hudraulics. Leave car just im the front of it. The cushion are hard to find. I mean the up the hydraulic, the one are acting. Just leave auto when you leave with front wheels forward. Best regards :)

    Does your xantia have EGR or something like that ?

    • @TheDiskins
      @TheDiskins  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it does not and no faulty codes need to be erase on this model, very easy to maintain a Xantia.

    • @амиџаа
      @амиџаа 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup but why its smoking in the back? Usualy cars here in the Serbia are having problems with EGR and its for biddenn to disable it

    • @TheDiskins
      @TheDiskins  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This EGR is not like the latest ones and this car has no fap filter. Yes the first HDi smokes when it's not totally warmed up.

    • @dbzbudeaucaille2711
      @dbzbudeaucaille2711 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Marko Amidzic If you drive small distances, it's normal to have EGR and FAP problems. A diesel engine is made for long distances.

    Whats the diffrent between X1 and X2?

    • @TheDiskins
      @TheDiskins  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      More airbags on the X2 and it's better built, it's much more stable than the X1. The lights on the X2 is brighter and larger. The diesel and break models have larger disk breaks than the petrol and berline versions. I think the X2 looks better and I believe AC is standard on the X2?

    • @hipheng1
      @hipheng1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      *****
      What is the reason cause the X2 more stable than the X1,the hydraulic system?And how about the fuel consumption automatic gerbox version,please tell me。

    • @TheDiskins
      @TheDiskins  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      heng The X2 has a better body structure especially around the windscreen. On some models the suspension is a little more computerized. This 2,0 HDi I have gets 0,56 combined. I've had it down on 0.50 once, that was only motorway driving. My Xantia has no computerized suspension. The automatics works if you switch oils regularly.
