They used the studio album song for the video. Vince sucks as a live singer. You can't understand him and he doesn't sing the whole song, he skips words
They do that in almost every music video ever made. That was not really the case with Vince back then. Although he notoriously has left words out in live performances.
Side note. This video was one of the most successful music videos ever for MTV when they actually played videos.
