Good flying in all that wind. I picked up one of those a few years ago and they are very tricky to fly. You will enjoy them the most on a light wind day. I usually wait until late evening when the wind is near 0, then they are enjoyable to fly.

Wow, I had a paramotor for 8 years, I've got to get one of those!!!
Got to say, I would have never flown in conditions that chucked me about like that😂, well done 👍
As others have said the other control is a speed bar used to pull the leading edge down and squeeze a bit more airspeed.

Was weird conditions. No wind at ground level and 15mph+ above tree height. Can only get better! Appreciate the feedback. Cheers

Well done Dom,successful flight in a demanding breeze 😎

Yeah thanks Bob. Horrible gusts off the trees but quite controllable. Will bring it down to Rollestone soon.

The normal servo horns are speed lines, they pull the leading edge down.
Both arms down are your brakes. Pull these around 3ft from the ground to flair when landing.
Also if the canopy starts to collapse, pump the brake lines to help reinflate the wing.

It's a very different style of flying. Haven't quite mastered it yet. Looking forward to next time out with it.

You might want to turn your Expo down. It seems really touchy and that motor has a lot of power. Almost more than you need. Great video.

No expo. I'll add 30% for next flight.

The lower lines are speed bar for better penetration. Not brake lines

Wrong terminology I know. Corrected with text annotation. All part of the learning process.

very surprising and atypical machine to have in your hangar. The body of the "pilot" seems very unstable and indeed the gases seem complicated to manage. maybe a bad choice of propeller personally I would use a propeller turning more slowly and with a little less pitch just to smooth the propulsion. Thank you for this discovery with the repair in the autogyro catalog, it is the year of atypical flying objects. A little fresh wind on our flight sites 🤯!! one of the big advantages of such a machine is that crashes should not cause much damage because even in bulk the sail slows down the fall .
. A "small/big" downside anyway : THE PRICE MY GOOD 🤑🤑🤑😭 which personally really makes me choke is still the price of a good Warbird or a good jet..... Originality is expensive.. ......

this looks interesting - for a beginner no risk of trashing it?

The frame is very strong and the front well protected with the padding. Stay low for initial flights is good idea until setup is tuned for easy flight. I've only broken 1 propellor so far on a rough arrival.
