spot on about complimentary tones, I'm a medium olive and look much better in pink/purples than more yellow-green

I completely agree that the trend seems to be to either one and done eyeshadow looks or just mascara. I still like to do a full eye look, but I don’t really care what the trends are.
15:20 Totally agree with you, Maryam. I have an olive undertone and I *always* look more green when I wear yellow-green colors. I think of Kermit! So I prefer to stick to cooler (more blue) greens. :) 💞Thx for your fun overview!

I used Sisley single shadows in combinations of 2 most of the time, but this Yucca palette was first Natasha Denona palette I ever bought - because of the color story. The colors look much darker and saturated on my medium-toned peachy skin. They demand me to wear greenish--brownish-yellow outfit. The Sisley eyeshadows just illuminated my face, but this palette is more like runway fashion - not very comfy, but still very enticing.

I really, really like those colors, it's different, I am a one & done eyeshadow, i don't have time to blend and my makeup have to last all day, just quick oil control look 😅 but i could have this one in my 4 pallettes collection 😊❤

As always love the eye look. Greens really make your brown eyes pop. Screw trends, rock that look out in the world. I have hazel eyes, blues really make my eyes pop, so this palette doesn’t speak to me, but I did just receive the retro glam palette. ☺️

In my country Colombia, Yuca is a tuber 😂 very cheap and traditional in the Caribbean. A delicious food that you just boil and eat with fresh salty cheese or something similar to sour cream

Hey Maryam! I'm all in! I love this color story and I will definitely be picking it up. I know that there are a few different ways to pronounce the name of this palette. I've known it for the plants. Hummingbirds love the flowers. The dramatic look you created is gorgeous! Would be an amazing look to wear for a concert or the club. I'd try to recreate the look you created today 🙌❤️🎉

I am still into eyeshadow like I was in 2019. I haven't been purchasing nearly as many palettes this year simply because I can't spend money on things I probably already have lol. I still love doing bold looks with multiple shadows though.

Well here in CA there is an area in the desert called Yucca Valley which we pronounce it “yuck-ah”

It's not the same plant, but they were mistaken for one another. The Yuca root, also called Manioc in French, is consumed in the Carribean and in Africa. But when the Yucca plant was given its name, it was mistaken for the same plant that produces the Yuca root. They are from two different species altogether.
I love this eye look. I'd likely make it bigger and bolder because I can't help myself 😅 while you'd tone it down for going out and about lol.

Ok yucca is the flower and yuca is the actual root. Yuca is a indigenous word I think but the name ppl know it as is cassava.
That's correct, if you look closely, the pallette has the shades of colors of the yucca plant. Beautiful indeed.

I still love doing eyeshadow looks for events/nights out. Although I’m preferring neutral looks instead of color lately. Maybe that’s also just me maturing and becoming a mom 😂 Definitely doing little to no eyeshadow for daytime tho! Really like the current trend of focusing on skin. Is that why olive eyeshadows make me look jaundiced? They make my coloring look weird and make my eyes look yellow (instead of white). I might have an olive undertone? I never thought of that. 🤦🏻♀️

Oh Maryam, here is the correct pronunciation. 😂 First, Yuca is the root vegetable, similar to a potato. However, a Yucca plant is a beautiful palm fern which blooms beautiful white flowers, called "yucca flowers." And Yucca is pronounced like the word "yuck." Go on, try to say it, "YUCK-KA." I don't know why you and other folks are having a problem with this word. It's a really beautiful fern plant, planted outdoors, it can bloom very big and has a California desert type of vibe or you can grow it indoors as a container plant. How do people not know this? It's actually a very common house plant. Do people not furnish their apartments and homes with house plants anymore? I even love how the physical palette compact has the shadow of a yucca ferm plant on it, that's very cool! Whoever did the art design for the palette, kudos to that person. It's a very beautiful palette and I love the color story. Can't wait to get mine in the next couple of days in the mail. In the U.K. they say "ver-sa-TILE," but in the U.S., we say " "ver-sa-TILL." When you say "versa-TILE", it reminds me of when Madonna lived in the UK and all of a sudden, without explanation, she had acquired this affected English accent overnight. 😂😂😂 I'm NOT saying you're fake, but just saying that word is something I pick up on when I listen to you.
