Last boc, had a player with almost double your stats and 4x your t1 calv and double your layers (2b worth of troops) zerod by a ground march. If you are looking at playing with the bigs you need to gear those Sub Cities, and 4-5x those t1 calves to start holding them back, also thicken your layers
There are a lot of factors to explain .. for starters flat refinesworks best for lower tier troops while percentage boost higher tier . You will understand if you do the math
If your plan is to use cav as a defense you need a cav defense general that will provide lots of cav hp/defense. Even as an assistant that what you want. Also ghost your t14/13/12 cavs and it will do much better but against a k40 it’s going to still hurt and yes you need lots of range debuf. Looking at your stats even my k37 ground would zero you.
Leo III I think is the best, paired with Leonidas - but, this is coming from a K40 12.5B. The T1 Mount is UNREAL defense. I am working on a strat to break through it, but in the first round of Chalons I kept splatting on a T1 defense that just healed layers for each defense. It was nuts. VERY EFFECTIVE (side note, they had ~ 450m T1) From a big Keep defense, Leo III and Queen Boudicca is also a good combo to protect your Cavs. However, if you do watch Singh's videos and also check your reports (again, big keep with big layers perspective) you'll see that Ground and some Siege do most of the Killing (pending the attack you're defending against too, but chiefly).
Your debuff needs a lot of work and you need a crap ton more troops (at least 500 million t1). Trap keep is best to have an additional debuff general normal used for sub cities to apply as the assistant wall general. Just run with Queen Boudicca or Jadwiga for wall general related to mounted. Both your flat and percentages single attack researched buffs apply to the base stats. Subtract the flat and then divide the single attack percentage.
Wall general T1 trap: must it say "in city" or "Main city defense"? What is the difference between "attack" and "hp"? Which is better attack or hp? Boudica or judwig? Hard to asend them? What about pairing William Marshall with Taylor Zackary or Leonidas?
Main city defense generals would be best. William Marshall, Taylor and Leonidas would be better than Boudica and Jadwiga. I started with HP and defense flat refines
This is why I run JoJo and Leo 3rd with full range and siege books (+cav hp) I'm planning on building a siege and cavalry meatshield because I feel the meta will shift to siege in the coming 6 months (have no proof I just have a feeling as we have to rotate out of ground eventually) all flat refines as t11s run on flats too I understand where you are at by saying hannible as assistant but would queen boudicia not a better or are you forced to use rune stones to make her relevant ? Hard call imo
I'm also pretty sure there are gonna be new and higher defense buffs coming. They have to do something because even the big coiners are complaining that their advantage is to big much. There is just no pvp anymore. It's just k40s destroying everything
You want t1 ground to stop archer marches. At least 50mill. And flat refines on wall Gen gear. Now like someone else said, you should ghost the high tier cavs. And it doesn't usually matter with k40s. They will still one tap you. Their attack percentages are just to high along with research. You also want 50mill t1 cavs for ground attack defense
Thank you for sharing these info. Me and my alliance faced a guy in BoC that has 200m t1 cavs. My question is: why cav precisely and not ground or archers? Knowing that attacks are made of archers and cavs are the weakest of all troops. Any idea why cavs not other tiers? Thank you for the video once more.
Cavs are the quickest. They get to the enemy troops first whereas ground are slower and get there later and archers even slower but hit from a range. Mounted troop HP is vital for the t1 cav method to work.

They work really well. I’ve got a small keep with a small t1 cav defence. Got hit with a 1k archer attack and I came out positive on the power swap. It’s all about the refining.
Well mathematically it’s the flat refines on mounted troops (and ground) that make them thick ideally you get your flat buffs to make the t1 fight like t9
I said ground because I flat refine ground and mounted so that the hp defense make them thick boys that’s how the t1 wall works plus the lady explanation of the speed of the troop also
Flat refines and 100 million t1s are only one side of the coin you also need achaminadae full sets good debuff mayors. If you have a hard time ask your friend Vietnamese alliance they know more about the t1 defenses than anyone.

Cav is the fastest and 1st in line, they act as a meat shield for all other troops

You should have a defense general that either debuffs the enemy or gives high defense for your cavs.
