  • Welcome to Chapter One of our Cricut Maker Dollhouse Miniature Grandfather Clock Tutorial!
    In this series we are making a 1/12th scale Grandfather Clock in Cricut Kraftboard, and as usual you can scale this file up or down to your preferred scale, just remember to adjust the number of layers to create a thinner or thicker material depth.
    In Chapter One we start at the beginning, learning how to upload into Design space and set up our mat and machine, we also cut and build the base of the clock!
    In our tutorials, you can create alongside of us, or have a quick play through the whole video to see where we are heading before you start.

    I love your tutorials, you are so thorough and have a lovely way about teaching people. Also, with your wonderful talent and eye for detail I always learn something new. When you were doing the Cricut machine, I was yes, know how to do that, yes and that, then there was a Oh! I did not know that lol. You never cease to amaze. Thank you, my lovely, great tutorial 🥰

      DiArts wow thank you so much lovely, 🥰 I really appreciate your kind words 💖 I’m dying to know what the Oh! was 🤣 was it the pen?? 🖊 🤓🤓🤓 (the other chapters will be along soon, I thought I’d better space them out to save the TH-cam algorithm blowing up! 🤣🤣🤣) 💖✨✨✨

      It was only a little thing, it was when you moved the roller rings across I didn’t know they moved so you can get a better grip lol 😆 Learn something new everyday. Can’t wait for the next one! Best to space them out, my old brain can only take in so much 😝

      @@SpellboundMiniatures I was telling you that I am "desperately waiting" for this wonderful piece. You've done a gerat job, dear. It's just an awesome clock. I will maybe try to make it in 1/6.

      @SpellboundMiniatures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Elisabeth Heinemann oooo 1/6th you could easily get a small clock insert at that size and install it with hands that go around!! 😱🤩🤩🤩 let me know how you get on, especially which materials you use - I’ll do a feature on it if you’d like on the main FB Page 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁💖✨✨✨

    Just bought the grandfather clock and now watching the video - I like using multiple layers too because my maker doesnt like thicker materials! I even tried a 22pt chipboard and still havent found a setting that works for wrought iron looking windows! I will keep trying tho! Thanks for the detailed videos - I;m going to take my time with this one!

    • @SpellboundMiniatures
      @SpellboundMiniatures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gin! For wrought iron I’d use layers of black Cricut Kraftboard on ‘intricate cardstock’ setting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉

    Lisa I love all of your videos. I have a question... is craft board similar to medium weight chipboard?

    • @SpellboundMiniatures
      @SpellboundMiniatures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nikki, Cricut kraftboard is about 0.8mm thick and cuts very cleanly - in the UK chipboard seems to be a much rougher product than in the US but if I were to guess I would say a lightweight chipboard, but use the Cricut stuff if you can get it, it cuts so cleanly 👍😁

    would these work with bass board?

    • @SpellboundMiniatures
      @SpellboundMiniatures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I’ve only used Cricut kraftboard and mount board so not too sure about bass board to be honest - it mostly depends on how clean it cuts (pulp/fibres can give you frayed edges) and also the material depth required - we try and use the Cricut brand products where possible to make sure you get consistent results 😁👍🏻

    • @SpellboundMiniatures
      @SpellboundMiniatures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol I have the music down quite low so it just fills the gaps when I’m not talking or fast forwarding the stages - but you’ll find in later videos I have turned it down even lower 😉👍🏻
