    My son is 6'3" and lived in his Corolla - just a regular Corolla - for 3 years. He loved it and said he would never live in an apartment again. He worked out and dressed at his gym every morning. He parked at McDonald's and grocery stores. He used a cooler as a refrigerator. He had no build out. Funny how one person's hell is another person's heaven.

      Sounds perfect. If I didn’t have children I would love to spend time living like this. Complete freedom physically, emotionally and financially.

    Nice build. I think this might be the only Corolla Wagon camping setup on TH-cam so far. Imported Corolla wagons seem to be common in NZ, but only recently become available to insure easily in Australia. I will hopefully be getting one soon.

    sick!, I basically had the same build but in a crosstrek and I removed my rear seats to get a touch more storage.

      I thought about removing the seats, you do get more (storage) room that way. However, for ease of use I decided to build it like this which requires no adjustments what so ever :)

    Thanks so much for sharing this video! I used it as inspiration for my own Audi A4 camper conversion so borrowed your idea for the slide out table. It works so well! We also added a hinged wooden windshield which folds up and locks into position. It was a pretty easy addition, just a few extra pieces of wood and two hinges, and works well, as I am driven crazy by the flame getting blown out when it's windy haha. Thanks again for sharing and happy adventuring!

    Nice to see someone making the most of a small station wagon. I have always felt that a small wagon is the most useful and practical configuration. Unfortunately, very few manufacturers sell them here in Canada. For example, we have not had a Corolla wagon since the early 1980s. I will check your other videos to see your travels. Cheers!

      @@c_beno3416 Good point. The Matrix is quite useful, but relatively short in the cargo area.

    Здравствуйте. У версии fielder в 120 кузове была комплектация с передним сиденьем которое могло складываться в ровный пол.

      18mm plywood, perfect in terms of strength!

    Just throw a mattress in the back

    • @michaelbeckmann_
      @michaelbeckmann_  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Is an option. Only:
      1. We found mattresses being expensive for what you get.
      2. Because of the fold down backseats you sleep on a steep angle
      3. You loose a lot of storage room
      All up to you of course.
