I do really thank God for Henri's life. I have his book "The Inner Voice of Love" that helped me to see God under my depression, as well as happened to him. That more people can drink from his wisdom, remembering where it came from.

I love how Henri Nouwen was blessed to learn from his own suffering and the suffering of others, and then share the fruits of his learning with so many of us who hunger for prayerful understanding. The original Aramaic version of the line of The Lord's Prayer about bread was (approximately) "Give us this day the bread of wheat and the bread of holy insight." Henri Nouwen shared the bread of holy insight.

This sermon is a sermon of a man. It is not a Word of God for the body of Christ . Ask your dad Robert Schuller, what he thinks about it!! The temptations in the desert was not to describe Jesus life, of who He was. He was with God, and put down His honor and splendor, and humiliated himself , to become a baby in a monger. In Him the fullness of God fully lived . Nobody spoke yet good nor bad about his ministry . And He knew , that His Father owed everything . So no comparison of Him with us. “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased” in 3 gospels we see this Word of God. But....in the three gospels God says it again, but He adds a tremendously important instruction after “ This is My beloved son” , and that is: “ Hear ye Him!!! In the temptation Jesus replies not with “: It is a lie , I am not what I do, or what the people say of me, or what I have” He replies three times with referring to the Words of God: 1. A man shall not live by bread alone, but by all what comes out of the mouth of God 2.You shall not tempt the Lord your God 3.Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. So the words of Jesus wrongly and falsely represented, the words of God Jesus so emphasised here not mentioned , and on top of it all the almost blasphemous elevation of us, members of the body , to the level of our Head, that God would say the same of us, with all our trespasses,lukewarmness lovelessness? We are loved , by God, before we believed: Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And we are loved , after we believed . But that fact , is not elevating us to be beloved , and be loved the same. How much we love Jesus? Very much? We then are three times said in John 14 : who loves me, keeps my commandments . Keeps my words.. Then we will receive the Holy Spirit, then Jesus will reveal Himself to us, and: John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. No question ever then, if God loves us! If we listen to the Words of Jesus. Instead of the words of men!!!

It is not a Word of God for the body of Christ .

The temptations in the desert was not to describe Jesus life, of who He was.
He was with God, and put down His honor and splendor, and humiliated himself , to become a baby in a monger.
In Him the fullness of God fully lived .
Nobody spoke yet good nor bad about his ministry . And He knew , that His Father owed everything .
So no comparison of Him with us.
“This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased” in 3 gospels we see this Word of God. But....in the three gospels God says it again, but He adds a tremendously important instruction after “ This is My beloved son” , and that is: “ Hear ye Him!!!
In the temptation Jesus replies not with “: It is a lie , I am not what I do, or what the people say of me, or what I have”
He replies three times with referring to the Words of God:
1. A man shall not live by bread alone, but by all what comes out of the mouth of God
2.You shall not tempt the Lord your God
3.Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
So the words of Jesus wrongly and falsely represented, the words of God Jesus so emphasised here not mentioned ,
and on top of it all the almost blasphemous elevation of us, members of the body , to the level of our Head, that God would say the same of us, with all our trespasses,lukewarmness lovelessness?
We are loved , by God, before we believed:
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
And we are loved , after we believed .
But that fact , is not elevating us to be beloved , and be loved the same.
How much we love Jesus? Very much?
We then are three times said in John 14 : who loves me, keeps my commandments . Keeps my words..
Then we will receive the Holy Spirit, then Jesus will reveal Himself to us, and: John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
No question ever then, if God loves us!
If we listen to the Words of Jesus. Instead of the words of men!!!
