THANK YOU for singing the original lyrics, not the rewritten, "happy" version. I was just thinking yesterday how absolutely perfectly the original song (which has always been my favorite Christmas song) describes the current pandemic's intersection with the holidays, with families apart and so many people enduring so much stress and fear. I was wondering whether anyone who could actually sing would make the connection and bring the original version of the song back to the forefront of people's minds. When I saw this, it made me so happy!
