  • It's hard to believe we have travelled around the Philippines for this long without having to catch an overnight ferry, but here we are and it's our first time. Will we sleep? Will they have enough beer for two Australians? All this and more...
A BIG HELLO TO ALL OF OUR NEW SUBSCRIBERS! (and a special shout out to everyone that has been watching for a while 😊). We are currently filming our second series in the Philippines and can't wait to share more. In the meantime we still have some videos left from our 2022 trip. We hope you enjoy and thanks for watching, Shannon and Emma xx

I will be using the same ferry on the exact same route. Thank you for posting this video.

That's quite an experience. It's better to know what to expect beforehand to be prepared and perhaps lessen the stress level.

Yes, we would still do it again but maybe pack a little differently knowing what to expect now. 🤗

I do like the ferries in the Philippines, but either the really short ones, like going from Dumaguete to SIquijor, from Cebu to Bohol and so on.. For overnight, NO dorm beds, only private room or at max some 4 person room - far away from the dorm rooms and the karaoke station :D then its fun

Yes! Short ferries are fine, except for that one time that we caught one in a Typhoon and I (Emma) threw up! I'm keen to try another overnight in a private room though. Hopefully soon!

Hello! I was beginning to wonder where are the Travelling Sticks now, haven't posted a vlog for days already :) . I thought you were going to Dumaguete. Bohol is a nice tourist destination. You need a guide to cover the best tourism sites.

I once travelled on board a plane. A child unbelievably cried for nearly 5 hours straight.
The child must have been really healthy to have such great lungs. ☺

@rainieresguerra4780 what a lovely positive spin to put on that experience!

And I do understand how the child's parents felt.
My wife and I went to a group trip/travel with our 3- year old daughter. And our daughter cried on the bus for over 2 hours because we left her favorite doll. We kept apologizing to the other members of the travel group all day long and up to the next day. 😂😂😂

I think most people are secretly okay with crying kids even if they do complain. At most it is a bit of a disruption to your peace and quiet, which is never really that peaceful anyway on travel days! But your experience is a bit different again! I can't imagine how inconsolable she must have been! Was the doll safe at home or lost forever?

From memory, we boarded the boat around 7pm and arrived around 6am the following day. 😊

You can upgrade your accommodations to Cabin if there is a vacancy.

@@travellingsticks Okay :) In your next ferry crossing, you might want to book in advance. No problem, Kulas, Kumander Daot, BoyPerstaym, and the rest of the Tanduay boys experienced travelling in lower classes :D
