- Hannah bought a railroad trailer for just $350 at an auction and then turned it into a cute tiny home! In this video, she takes us on a tour and explains how she was able to keep her costs down, and why she never wanted to pay rent for an expensive apartment again.

Yeahhhh, although it's a neato house...the fact that she paid $350 for the "shell", $9000 upgrades & she estimated $10,000 labor (saved by their work). Why is she asking $75,000? That doesn't even come close to adding up. I understand some markup...but whoa, $55,650 difference?
Almost 4x's the original cost? No thanks.
The housing market will shift soon and some of this inane pricing will hopefully come down.
I can't imagine being able to insure this for $75,000 either.

@@availanila not sure what that even means... it's very subjective and in today's climate, it's looking suspiciously like price gouging dynamics.
I already own a home, it was purchased for around 350,000...and now could easily sell for 800,000. I've followed the market for decades. I'd want to talk to the actual "professional" and get the breakdown.
I imagine living 24/7 in a tiny home is really challenging. Ah well!
Very innovative ideas successfully implemented with artistic flair by a true artist with beautiful illustrations. Love many details already mentioned by others but making a list here so I can find it later by searching for my name.
Some of my favorites in this build that I plan to use in my tiny renovations: "wood plank" ceiling, kitchen "color" scheme (gray looked very clean) plus "copper" brick backsplash, "tin roof" shower, rolling bed, antiqued brick wall, tankless toilet, secretary desk tiny sink, insulated roll down blackout shades, electric panel cover, red brick "smear" tip, pop up kitchen prep counter, drop table repurposed / resized for kitchen table.
Omg. She describes a trailer from 1985 as ‘vintage’…. That makes me antique ha ha. Lovely job well dome

Vintage is anything 20 years and older.
Lovely rehab on this tiny home! My daughter was born in 85 and she is definitely 'vintage'!

I love her philosophy, not letting her possessions own her. Profound and extremely wise and rare.
It's a cliche. Just b/c you have more possessions, they certainly don't have to own you unless you let them. You can have many less possessions and they can own you too. It's just your mindset and how you think about things.

I love her story and what she has done. It is very homey and fits her needs. I never cease to be amazed at the creative ideas that people can come up with. I love her bathroom sink made out of a secretary vintage desk! Great idea and the brick panneling she used was also changed to look very cool! Love the mural and her art! She has a very nice set up!

@@tinablair6262 It is basically a build of a mini mobile home, but kept mostly in the shell of a mobile home with electrical and plumbing installed and walls covered in paneling, with the rest being left OPEN for buyer to set up like offices for on site of large jobs with multiple work groups carrying out a contracted job usually to multiple types of work so multiple managers, as the buyer sees fit and the buyer is who finishes them off. It can be towed behind any vehicle that can tow it's weight because they are usually 8' to 10' wide and generally light. This was one used on moving RR construction/maintenance crews/sites. They are also often seen as construction site offices on big builds. They're even shown in many a movie as such.
Her home is just beautiful, and her artistic and whimsical spirit shines through in all the great details. I really like the way the brick wall turned out. It's fantastic, and so nice to hear her say she loves the space she lives in🤍

When I pulled up "vintage clothing" on Ebay one day...1980's stuff came up. I almost died! I say if I lived it...it's NOT vintage. Lol

This is actually one of my favourite tiny homes, because it is something I could afford and the bed/couch thing is the best compact feature I have seen in a budget tiny home. I also like this woman's philosophy about life, what she says at the end, my possessions don't own me etc.

A retirement lady in a wealthy neighborhood gave me and the children that the prettiest little camper RV free all we had to do is have it all and it became something very lovely and beautiful ❤️
The writing desk sink was just awesome! I literally paused the video and called my kids over to see it! I really like how she dealt with her bed-one of the easiest transformations I’ve seen! 👍🏻 Also, I adored her collection of religious art ❤️
Me too! We are thinking about making a tiny house in the backyard for my oldest and she said she is definitely going to make that “sink desk”.

I'm going to steal a couple of your ideas, they are so great! First is the insulated window coverings. I've been trying to figure out how to insulate my windows during the cold winter here in Ontario, Canada. I sew and that'll be no problem to create. The other is the bathroom sink. What a great way to add counter-space when you need it but put it away when you don't. And then there's the rolling bed! I'm in overdrive with inspiration right now. Thank you.

I once ate in was one a caboose.thebinside naturally was renovated,it was... beautiful..made into a dining car,food was good too...I have recently thought about,now & again. Would like to purchase one to live in ..great job on this trailer and presentation as well.you gave me alot the f ideas to use now, in my 1/1, kitchen,den apt.that I own and is attached to my main home.al private.will be renting the main hse, packing up.. Caught the gist of ur review. Truth is most of America's homes are actually just Grand Personal Storage Facilities for possessions that are barely, or sometimes used. If that practice was to be stopped then majority of homeowners would feel their homes are very spacious indeed!.
Also, sometimes people will purchase goods needed At-The-Moment/For-An-Event which ends up hardly ever used again because the following year a new design scheme or new hi-tech version is more popular.
The roll out bed is perfect! Great style touches and you can see the creativity is pure love of home and made this into such a cozy place. Great job!

I am familar with Tahoe's snowfall. I cannot imagine having to shovel off the roof. Good thing you guys are young. Great job on all of your creations.

Great ideas! Love the attitude and ideas. The roll out bed was one of my favorites in this home! Beds are used for what 7-8 hours daily then they are in the way. I wish she had talked a little more about her electric toilet.

I'm basically doing the same thing. I'm moving on to my nephew's land that has a mother-in-law suite that's detached from his home. It's about 400 Sq. feet. Hoping this channel will give me some really great ideas. So far, so good.

Builds like these are my absolute favorite! So clever and unique, intelligent and thrifty! They are always so attractive and the absolute reflection of the personality that built and resides there. I absolutely LOVE the solution she thought of for a bed. I've always hated the idea of a tiny ass loft you gotta squeeze into, 1) because I am very claustrophobic and 2) getting my dog up a latter every night would be a headache. This whole thing has really inspired me to move forward with my tiny home dream!

Your bathroom sink out of a secretary IS BRILLIANT!
Starting from the awesome mural outside to the adorable bathroom sink. There are great creative functional ideas put in place making this one of more unique tiny homes I have seen. Taking MDF paneling and painting it to the create a comfy welcoming space or a backsplash are just a few of the nice personal touches. Great home! Thanks for sharing it with us!
