    am a digital nomad in Bali, Indonesia who literally moved 1000km just from Jakarta, Indonesia just to escape from the 9-5 pressure from the capital city.. it has been almost a year now & it is so life changing to see this video again as a reminder of what started it all… well said! There are so many digital nomad communities who talked about these as well, shared this video to all the groups ❤ thank you so much for this!! make more!

    I think the most lonely part of it is that nobody tells you what labor path you must take, and any remote job you see that actual nomads do looks very specialized and a very lucky and personal path, which to me makes it look far from my own reality. I would really appreciate someone to tell me which ones of my habilities could take me there 😢

    I think clearing is a very important point! I feel like there are so many information out there and sometimes it feels overwhelmed. You don’t know where to start, you want to try it all and then you end up doing a lot of things and you just loose focus 😓
    And the loneliness is also a good point! You need a good supporting network. Connecting to other likeminded people is super important to keep going and also to push forward ☺️

    Thanks for useful tips in the video, I definitely need them. I just returned from my first trial 3-month digital nomad trip in South America, and it was a lot harder than I anticipated! There were numerous challenges: staying focused to avoid scams and robberies, finding new places to eat, work, and exercise, and adapting to new food, weather, air, humidity, and time zones. I even stopped drinking alcohol 😂 By the end of the trip, I was completely exhausted, my job performance suffered, because I ended up more travelling than working. I almost dropped my running routine because couldn’t find safe places to run. I was just so excited to see new countries. Next time, I'll aim for less movement, staying in one places longer and going to coworking more often. 👩‍💻

    Thank you very much for this video. The five points are truly a recipe for failure. This means that to be successful as a digital nomad, one should do the opposite: 1. Have a clear vision and focus; 2. Develop proper financial planning; 3. Avoid nomadism; 4. Develop success habits; and 5. Choose the right business model. These are very practical hints towards success.

    You asked for comments that add value.
    This is it. :)
    1) How can I find network support in the country or city I plan to travel to? Talking to the first person over morning coffee is good, but you can also enjoy your coffee in a co-working space for nomads or in hotels where there are no nomads.
    If there are any sites or communities, which ones can you recommend as the most vibrant?
    2) What approaches can you suggest for validating hypotheses and calculating unit economics? If you go on a nomad trip without illusions, then each source of income, as you recommend, requires a business plan, unit economics, and a reality check. How can this be done quickly and affordably? (I'm talking about online projects)
    For starters, that's all :)

    Digital Nomadcy is a calling that's a window into the impossible.
    I'm unfocused at home, with community obligations, family, debt, and a new business. However, I can see where I will go as if their memories are already in my mind's eye. I can see my community network of support, and I feel the call to belong anywhere and nowhere as a nomad. • @KissieMiss
      @KissieMiss 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If we focus on career for this question. I believe the purpose was the most challenging. Because if I have a Vision of living a life filled with passion, freedom, creativity and life long learning. I will look at the depth of that vision. My purpose would be I want to create impact and support others to wake up with a smile, because if more people wake up with a smile it will have a ripple effect and even more people will start smiling. That will create a better feeling in this world and people will be kinder towards each other and for myself that means that I will have contributed to a better world. It also means for myself that working with my passion and have flexible hours will give more energy and time for my family and my mental health of balancing life will grow and make me a better parent. So for purpose you would ask yourself WHY 7 times and then you have a deep enough answer for you purpose so you can battle through anything while building your business or growing your career 🙏🏻

    It´s all about discipline. If someone imagines starting as digital nomad like laying on the beach sipping coctails while "working" - then don´t even start. I don´t know how can one work on the beach the conditions aren´t suitable for that (sand goes into your laptop, you can´t see your screen properly because of the sunlight, noises, distraction, not suitable body position.... etc). Stay on the balcony or in your room, work focused and enjoy the free time after work.... Additionally if you don´t have a fix remote job which pays well you can save huge amount of money by just cooking for yourself, eating in restaurants every day is expensive. Be mindful about spending at the beginning, focus on building your skills.

      Absolutely, a sand-filled laptop and a sun-dazzled screen are the real tests of a digital nomad's resolve, not to mention the yoga-like flexibility needed to type in a beach chair! Focusing on work first allows the beach to be a reward, not a workstation hazard.
