am a digital nomad in Bali, Indonesia who literally moved 1000km just from Jakarta, Indonesia just to escape from the 9-5 pressure from the capital city.. it has been almost a year now & it is so life changing to see this video again as a reminder of what started it all… well said! There are so many digital nomad communities who talked about these as well, shared this video to all the groups ❤ thank you so much for this!! make more!
That's an incredible leap! How has your experience in Bali compared to your expectations, and what's one piece of advice you'd share with someone just starting their nomad journey?
I think the most lonely part of it is that nobody tells you what labor path you must take, and any remote job you see that actual nomads do looks very specialized and a very lucky and personal path, which to me makes it look far from my own reality. I would really appreciate someone to tell me which ones of my habilities could take me there 😢
You're in the right place, and you're not alone in feeling that way. Have you checked out the video we uploaded last week? It dives into matching your skills with potential digital nomad paths, which might offer the clarity you're looking for!
I think clearing is a very important point! I feel like there are so many information out there and sometimes it feels overwhelmed. You don’t know where to start, you want to try it all and then you end up doing a lot of things and you just loose focus 😓 And the loneliness is also a good point! You need a good supporting network. Connecting to other likeminded people is super important to keep going and also to push forward ☺️
This channel is perfect timing. I just spent my first night in my campervan and now thinking about ways of making a living on the road. I love the adventure and this video has really got me thinking things through.
That sounds like a fantastic adventure! What skills or passions do you have that you could turn into a remote income stream while enjoying the van life?
Thanks for useful tips in the video, I definitely need them. I just returned from my first trial 3-month digital nomad trip in South America, and it was a lot harder than I anticipated! There were numerous challenges: staying focused to avoid scams and robberies, finding new places to eat, work, and exercise, and adapting to new food, weather, air, humidity, and time zones. I even stopped drinking alcohol 😂 By the end of the trip, I was completely exhausted, my job performance suffered, because I ended up more travelling than working. I almost dropped my running routine because couldn’t find safe places to run. I was just so excited to see new countries. Next time, I'll aim for less movement, staying in one places longer and going to coworking more often. 👩💻
It sounds like you've gained invaluable insights from your adventure! Cutting down on travel time and finding stable coworking spaces seems like a solid plan. How will you choose your next destination to better support your work and running routine
Thank you very much for this video. The five points are truly a recipe for failure. This means that to be successful as a digital nomad, one should do the opposite: 1. Have a clear vision and focus; 2. Develop proper financial planning; 3. Avoid nomadism; 4. Develop success habits; and 5. Choose the right business model. These are very practical hints towards success.
Spot on! Turning those failure points into a roadmap for success is key. Which of these steps are you most excited to tackle first in your journey towards becoming a digital nomad?
Love it. Have been wanting to be one for years. Thank you, makes me so much more confident and prepared before i go. Who knew about the emotions huh. Crazy excited to start and meet new people and communities. This video was real value, as I’m trying to pivot and change business model that works as a digital nomad. Very soon!!
It's thrilling to hear about your excitement! What business model are you considering for your nomadic lifestyle, and how do you think it will enhance your journey?
@@Wealthy_Nomad Thank you, we have a physical space which ties me down to staying where i am, i am pivoting to a fully online agency style business model. And the fulfilment could be done entirely through online calls. This will definitely allow me to relocate without the constant rental payments and much lower commitments. More flexibility!
That's a smart pivot, opening up so many possibilities for mobility and flexibility! What's the first step you're taking towards transitioning your business to this new model? Very useful, thank you. I'm definitely feeling the lack of clarity aspect, just need to stop jumping between different options. And have also found it's hard to stick to the healthy habits and routines while on the road, structure is so important, nothing gets done without a plan! Love the idea of a knowledge walk, what a perfect way to start the day👌🏼thanks guys
Absolutely, finding that balance is key! How do you plan to integrate the 'knowledge walk' into your routine, and what other strategies are you considering to maintain your healthy habits on the road?
You asked for comments that add value. This is it. :) 1) How can I find network support in the country or city I plan to travel to? Talking to the first person over morning coffee is good, but you can also enjoy your coffee in a co-working space for nomads or in hotels where there are no nomads. If there are any sites or communities, which ones can you recommend as the most vibrant? 2) What approaches can you suggest for validating hypotheses and calculating unit economics? If you go on a nomad trip without illusions, then each source of income, as you recommend, requires a business plan, unit economics, and a reality check. How can this be done quickly and affordably? (I'm talking about online projects) For starters, that's all :)
I’m never going to go back to an office again! I’ve been travelling and trying to figure out how to generate enough income to sustain my dreams. #2 is my weakest point😅 thank you so much for all the tips 🙌 I’ve already sold the majority of my belongings to get this journey started! ❤

Good point. Network and being kind with people will get you far, especially in cultures where this is valued more than in the average western country. However, once you need help for example medical, professional service or anything ... you will see a huge difference if you have a problem to solve and got the right capital available for it :)
Very informative video. Unfortunately some of those things are also present when someone is at home. Life is a journey and we are growing into our most amazing selves. :-)
Absolutely, growth and challenges aren't confined to any one lifestyle. How do you stay grounded and continue growing, whether on the road or at home?
Hola
Hi 🙋♂️
I am planning to become a nomad. Any help is appreciated. I want to discover the world!!! 🌍 🗺️
How exciting! What's the first destination on your list, and what draws you to it?
@@Wealthy_Nomad America! I have always had negative views on America, now even more so. But my childhood friend lives there and I haven’t seen her in 15 years! So Im going to meet her and also for an ayahuasca retreat. It has been calling me so badly 🫡
Reuniting with a childhood friend and exploring transformative experiences sounds like a powerful journey. How are you preparing for the retreat, and what do you hope to gain from it?
@@Wealthy_Nomad Im aiming to activate my spiritual gifts 😆 and connect more with the other side. Have been trying for the past 20 years to no avail 😅
Twenty years is a long time! What's one insight or practice you've found most valuable in your quest so far apart from the retreat?
