My first car in 1966 from my father. Same color but 4door. Same exact color. It had a 283 cu in engine automatic and had a Rochester 4 barrel. I loved that car. Had to sell went into military in1967. Awesome car brother!
Wow!!! Beautiful!!! Hope you didn’t change the Colors!!! My brother had an Identical 59’ back in the Late 60’s!!! I sent this video to him! He said that it was like his 59’ being Resurrected from the Grave!! Someone ran into it as it was Parked on the street, in front of his Dorm, In College!!😔😔😔
Your choice to change it but for me, the total car color scheme is perfect. And well done on your craftsmanship; the 3rd tail light and lower seat trim for the power switch...
That's indeed an adorable color combo; IMO you should never consider a color change. There are enough red, white or black 'palas out there. And for the 3rd brake light - I've never understood why Chev just didn't incorporate it like you've done here, that would've been a decorative safety feature 30years ahead of its time. @@localsheriffThank you, color is growing in me, that stock roof scallop was driving me nuts, I was ready to modify it ever time I walked by it 😂 Congrats on the owning a 64 💪👍
Im a Ford guy but i love this year and car....beautiful! thats SOO COOL, led tailights and roof light. I have a 01 Explorer and 07 Mustang convertible GT both have leds, i love them! Beautiful colour, DONT change it.
All the upgrades add so much to the great look of the car. I like the Skirts and to find them in the trunk is crazy. The first car I bought when I got job was a 59, paid $15 for it but someone soled it before I got l the paperwork done. Had to pay $20 for a front clip, a BelAir and it did have a Radio delete. Great that it drives so well. repo Valve guides were bad and that would foul the plugs out fast. The Alternator was very week, in the Winter at night with the blower on full the headlights would dim when you stopped a a light. Good brakes are a must but most people seem to not know how to adjust them. My Cousin puts a Temp Gun on the to make sure both are working the same. Great that your Son is learning to work on cars, and it looks like he does very good work.
$15 for 59 🫠 man, I was born in the wrong era, that’s a nice trick with the temp gun on the drums, I never thought of that 👍 I love having my son around, he wants a car so bad, he’s 15 so he’ll be getting one soon enough
Great that your Son has a interest and has you to help/learn from. He will do well in life for sure. My Son is 44 now but started racing Karts at 10 and did not stop until he went to College. We had a great time for sure that we still kid about 🙂 In College he worked Summers for Indy Car teams and went full time for about 10 years. So once you start young no telling how far you can go.
Buffing that Single Stage Paint is way different than what is on newer cars. Getting the paint color on the pad lets you know that their is not of paint to work with/remove. Your came out looking great for sure 🙂
It's a beautiful 59 Impala, great job on all the work you've done so far! Can't wait to see the results after the add ons, on the color, maybe you've seen a Inca gold, that's a good idea color to consider, have you seen the TH-cam channel "Lonestar lows" he has the spotlight mirrors on his 1960 Impala he's working on right now, that's a sweet 60, he's done a lot of work on it, I think he's out of south Texas, either Houston or San Antonio,I just subscribed to your channel brother, looking forward to your content! This is Sammy M. from McFarland California, but now in Lubbock Texas!
Thank you, color is definitely growing on me 👍 lonestar is my club brother, I’ve had the pleasure on helping him with his build, it’s coming out beautifully
Can I ask you where you got your LEDs for your tail lights I have been thinking about going that route myself, and I love what you did with that third brake light that was the smartest coolest custom light I've seen in years
Thank you! The engine block itself was already painted like that, is just touched up the intake when I changed the carburetor, my son painted the air cleaner, base coat /clear coat, I used the same chassis paint for the radiator support 👍
I heard you said Houston!!! I am from Houston and have 3 classics. 1986 Fleetwood Brougham d’elegance. 1976 Lincoln Continental Towncar. 1972 Cadillac El Dorado. I really need work on my 2 Cadillacs. Can you pls recommend me to a mechanic or mechanic shop that’s willing to work on them????
I have that roof trim piece and wanted to do the same thing for a 3rd brake light. Where did you run your wiring? Did you have to make a hole in your roof?
I’m building a frame for it now, the last couple videos I’ve posted are showing me wrapping the new frame for it, it will be cut, I’m enjoying it like this till I’m done building the rolling chassis, I’ll be taking the car apart and painting it as soon as that’s finished.
Evidently you have no clue about what's a lowrider, the fact that it's stock and very clean, the 13×7s is the cherry on the cake, by the way, Daytona aren't cheap, last time I checked, 13,00$ a wheel
@jessealvarez4742 so for your information Homeboy I'm 61yrs old been lowriderin since 1980 and all my car had HYDRAULICS I've had everything from the first tru spoke wire wheel to Zeniths and Daytons I bet you are definitely under 40yrs of age and have no clue what a real lowrider is bro so stay in your lane youngster

Nice job! That door (and hood) sound is a solid CLUNK! I had a 57 210 wagon that was sierra gold and cream like your Impala. ❤
Yes, solid clunks 😎 that was a nice wagon you had, I’m a big long roof fan 👍

I'm half there with you, no don't go with the continental kit, but the skirts stay, remember, it a lowrider
