Mass influences the gravitational force acting on an object though right? So a bigger mass would mean a higher gravitational force. Why doesn't this have an impact? Is it because gravity a such a weak force that it doesn't make much of a difference in these situations?

Exactly. Since the smaller object (whatever you're dropping) is smaller than the earth, it is not affected.

no its because of inertial force

Gravity is the same for every object on Earth. This means that it pulls every object with the same force regardless of its mass.Hence, in vaccum both the feather, which is a lighter object , and a bowling ball, which is a heavier object, fall with the same acceleration of 9.8m/s² which is exerted by the earth 's gravity.
However, in real life where there is no vaccum and has air,air resistance, which is a force acting opposite to the direction of motion of an object falling from the air plays a role in slowing down the object.
AIR RESISTANCE IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO AN OBJECT'S SURFACE AREA.
Hence, air resistance increases with increase in the surface area of the object. As a result, the flat piece of paper falls down at a much slower rate than the crumbled piece of paper because it experienced more air resistance.
MOREOVER , THIS PROPERTY IS SHOWN THROUGH THE EXPERIMENT WHERE TWO BALLS HAVE DIFFERENT MASSES BUT SAME SHAPE AND HENCE FALL TO THE GROUND AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE NOW THE AIR RESISTANCE IS THE SAME FOR THE 2 BALLS AND WEIGHT DOES NOT AFFECT THEIR RATE OF FALLING.
HOPE YOU FOUND THIS HELPFUL 😊😊

So Air Resistance force in every direction. so why they invent the term gravitational force?

She did but I understood better when reading Newton's laws, 1 and 2 . Then thought about resistance like pinewood derby cars on a tilting track. Look up grandpa Jobe or Dr Jobes pinewood derby cars book. That's my dad. He was upset what they told my brother about mass and weight and confusing him so he wrote that book with building cars and they won. And won. And won! Miss him. Lost 3 yrs ago. Thx for listening.
