but can you also have managemnt director roles with a BSN ? I am debating whether to do a 15 month bsn accelerated bsn vs. a 2 year msn . I have master's in management. I am not sure which one to do but bsn is shorter but can bsn still be a chief, manager, executive too?
Hi, my daughter graduates this December as a Healrh Administrator. But now she decided she wants to be a nurse, so she wants to go back to school. Should she go back for a BSN or a MSN. She has never worked in a hospital, the only experience she has is she is a phlebotomist, so she works at a blood bank. So what direction she should take to become as a nurse

Depending on where you live you can do your NP without masters. Or there are combined programs with masters and NP. So first do bachelors in nursing. Then you have to do certain amount of hrs as an RN (2yrs where I live) to apply to the NP program. The NP program is 2 yrs approximately

I mean would diploma be enough to get register as Canadian RN .BTW I've completed my bsc. Nursing here in India .please help me out .

Really it is all about nursing experience and what you have accomplished in your nursing career to be considered for leadership positions. Yes, many older nurses hold these positions because they have excellent nursing experience to bring to the leadership position....however, I have encountered nurses in their late 20s to early 30s in management positions. I would work on gaining excellent experience and then go from there. Best wishes!

I'm looking at a school for nursing but I'm not sure if they have a program for RN.. They have the BSN, can I get my BSN without my RN? Thank you!
+Nicole Jones Great question, Nicole! If they have a BSN program...they have a RN program because a BSN program is a nursing program. The BSN degree leads to becoming a registered nurse. To become a registered nurse (RN) you have to earn either an ADN or BSN degree. The ADN takes 2 years to complete and BSN takes four years to complete. So, the program you are looking at offers the BSN degree to become a RN. After you graduate from the university with the BSN degree, you will have to take a state boards exam called the NCLEX-RN. Once you pass this exam you will be a registered nurse. I hope that makes sense :) Thanks for your question and I wish you the best in your decision.

Those salaries are low for CA standards. It's a lot more out here but it's also expensive to live out here. So it balances out.
