No clue. It was always my favorite event to watch. In the first year of the (E)x(treme) Games, the real breakout event was street luge. ESPN's coverage revolved around Bob Perreyra's broken foot from testing out the course and eventual win.

Was 12 when I saw my first x games luge event around ‘97. Even had an old Nash fishtail skateboard that I modded into an impromptu luge board and used to ride down my steep driveway. Good vibes watching this.
