    Sir I have one question ,, Why is the tidal force of the moon is greater than the sun?

    • @satsangagrawal102
      @satsangagrawal102 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because Moon is only 384400 km away from Earth, and sun is approximately 150 million km away.
      As the moon is nearer to Earth, that's why it's gravity has greater influence on the Earth, as compared with the Sun.

    • @wedajoalemu2952
      @wedajoalemu2952 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tidal force of the moon is greater because of the distance between earth and moon is small. The gravity force depends 1. Mass of the bodies 2. The distance b/n the bodies in question
      Distance b/n moon and earth is around 380,000 km but distance b/n earth and sun is around 150 million kms. The gravitational pull of rthe sun on earth is about 1/2 of the moon's pull on earth.

    Hello sir,
    Good evening ..
    Sir what's the meaning of given point of time ..?
    Either as u said in video I.e .. a point given on particular imaginary line on which passing no. Of waves ..Or, a given time ( for eg. 5 minutes or, 10 minutes ) in which passing no. Of waves..??...
    There's lil confusion ......

    My question is why during the summer, especially at the solstice, is the day time low tide much more extreme than the night time low? It's like this every year. And in winter it's the reverse, the night time low tide is more extreme than the day time low tide. My guess is that it has to do something with how the earth's axis angle dips us into the tidal bulges.

    Sir, density is directly proportional to salinity. When it comes to pole there is less insolation and adding up of fresh water also occur (melting of ice). Therefore salinity in the pole is lower so the density should be less right. Pls clarify this doubt sir.
