I think the X is more accurate in so much as the X really means we know it's something but we don't know what it is, whereas saying Planet Nine would imply it's a planet.
Also before a bunch of astronomers reply I get that my comment has probably just ignited a giant historical war amongst the astronomical community and I will start the penitence process I deserve.
A tenth planet in our solar system has been hypothesised way before Pluto was demoted thus making it the 9th planet. I believe that to be the origin of the name Planet X. Certainly catchier than Planet IX... :)
Too bad you are obligated to use an app. Otherwise it's a very cool game. I don't even know why I have such prejudice against apps in board games, it just feels weird. Kinda like the Creator cheated, instead of finding out a mechanic that could be replicated in board format
People don't like change and new things always take a while to catch on. This looks like SUCH a good game for kids though. Combines the styling of Cluedo, with the puzzles of Dr. Brain but for a generation that can use multi-media properly. Certainly rather have kids using their phones for this instead of the garbage games they have now.
the only way these sorts of mechanisms could be replicated would be for a human player to sit there and serve as a human calculator (like original mastermind). the only thing the app is doing is automating that task :)
@@RuudErik golem arcana is a great example as to why this isn't an issue, because when the app became unsupported, end users stepped up and took over, allowing it to still be available... apkpure.com/golem-arcana/com.harebrainedschemes.golemarcana
@@RuudErik The app may no longer be *supported*, but it will live a VERY long life. If I can play a 1990 PC game on my computer today, we'll be able to run any of today's apps for years to come. Emulators are part of our future.
@@RuudErik 1) if you're worried about bad thing happening ruining your future fun, your probables run much deeper than an app's obsolesce, because you could be hit by a bus tomorrow and die. does that mean you should not seek out a game you could enjoy today, because you *might* die tomorrow? 2) as you said, the APK for the lego game is still out there. simple solution: buy a cheap android for the sole purpose of lifetime support of said APK, and don't update it with latest firmware. cheap used old android phones can be gotten for less than $20 at used stores or ebay. just keep one around and you're set, unless you're worried about the eventual societal breakdown that leads to no longer being able to plug it into a wall to charge it's battery :)
Today is Pluto Discovery day !
What a great day to discover this game, looks amazing.
Wow... you solved the mystery..
so this is tobago in space :)
looks like interesting game tho i would like it to be way more complicated, this is my favorite theme
14:40 ... aren't you unable to scan sectors 11 to 1 at this point, since only sectors 2 - 7 are visible?
correct... note added
Great vid as always!
Would you say this is a board game you could play remotely via skype?
yes definitely (in fact the publisher, renegade, recently did this on their live stream)
Can this be compared to " Awkward Guests"? Which one do you like better?
sorry to say i've not played AG :(
I wish it was clearer if you know what parameters other players use when they select an action.
Can anybody comment on the difficulty level compared too Alchemists with the Golem expansion?
this game is MUCH more approachable
sudoku in space
What is the difference between your runthroughs with a separate final thoughts video, and a rundown like this one?
Shouldn’t Planet X mean “Planet Ten”? 😜

assuming Pluto is a planet 'again' ... YES !!
They found the Goblin, so it is still X
