However, if you really want to cry while listening to "S.O.S." look at this version taken from one of his concerts where he stops singing halfway through the song to pay homage to "Denis Ten", a very dear friend of his who was a Kazakh Olympic figure skating champion who unfortunately passed away too young due to a robbery in a car park.
Dimash had given the song "SOS" to "Denis" for a competition,
(that's why the homage during this song) where the parents of "Denis Ten" are also present.
He practically interrupts her and projects a piece of unreleased amateur video of "Denis" singing and skating, and then he starts singing again... you can really see the sadness in Dimash's face.... (You'll need handkerchiefs because it's impossible not to cry)

Dimash is a unique gift to the world. He performed at alhis solo. concert in Hong Kong on Dec. 23, 2023, the anniversary of the day he first arrived in China for Singer in 2017. He was an amateur, though he had won many competitions in Kazakhstan. All the shocked competitors you see are professional singers. He was not expected to be that good and performed first. The story is that the internet in China crashed during his performance with 6M people looking him up online, and the producers realized very quickly he needed bodyguards. That first song was SOS. He sings it in every concert. For the Hong Kong concert Chinese Dears managed to locate that suit, which had been auctioned for charity, and he wore it again to sing SOS. You will find that Dimash has a huge playlist, almost every song a masterpiece, and many are ones that he composed. His performances on Singer, though he was only 22 and just starting to become famous in China are incredible to watch and very close to the hearts of Dears. Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year (2023).
Dimash sings in 14 languages, plays 7+ musical instruments, is a composer, an amazing vocalist, patriot, philanthropist and, despite his popularity and talent, is a very warm and humble person.
