Thank you for the pretty good video young man, my rca just needed more juice, it was so drained it would not even fire up..so do this first folks, most have a small blue led indicating juice is being transferred. Cheers
Hey, so- idk if you're still online/active/reply to comments but I have an RCA viking 10 tablet I'm having trouble with turning on. I tried changing the cords/boxes and that did seem to help, I noticed a blue light that at first would blink while it was plugged in but it was unresponsive when I tried to power it on. Then I found a pair that made the light stay lit instead of blinking in and out and that made it show the battery level, I'm pretty sure, so I left it for a bit to charge. It was on, like 61% so I tried turning it on and I managed to get the screen to light up and the two powering-on screens to pop up (first one being white with two dalmatians, second black w "Viking 10" in white). Now, I'm not sure if I was simply being impatient or not, but I left it for a bit (I don't know how long, honestly) so it could turn on but it never left the "Viking 10" screen. So I tried to reset it and redo whatever I'd done but I feel I somehow put myself back at step 1 😔 i tried taking the back off and unplugging the battery (and then i tried unplugging the screen) but didn't seem to do anything. I did end up leaving it disconnected for more than 10 minutes at a time, so maybe that was the problem? Maybe I didn't leave it on the charger long enough and should charge it more? Maybe none of the chargers I have work for it rn? Anymore?? I'm not sure what the problem is anymore so I'm not sure where to go/what to do to try and fix it. Any help/suggestions is appreciated
just came across your video and tried most things with no luck, want to open the case to disconnect and check the battery, I have the small screwdriver but am worried about breaking case or screen so where do I buy the plastic tool you used? someone else asked with no reply also..thanks
I never watched the full vid but is there any way to fix it I left it charging overnight and it won't turn on its been like that since 2016 not that I need it but it would be nice
Same problem here… I have musically downloaded on mine with pictures of me from 2016 and everything 😢 I’m thinking of going to a tech store soon❤ This is the only drawback of these decent cheap tablets
Warning: I tried all these steps, except disconnecting the battery because I don't have tiny screwdrivers. I remember my battery being at about 30% before my tablet died in the middle of a movie. I left tablet plugged in using plug with round jack (came with tablet) for 1 1/2 hours. I thought my tablet was dead, but when I pushed power, button, the power went on, and it was rebooted, but not factory reset. My theory is we had our 1st major rain 2 days ago, and some moisture got in my tablet, but I'm not sure. Tablet was plugged in using micro USB plug with 2 amp output when it died. Tablet says 1 amp, so I wonder if that's an issue. Love it when a problem fixes itself.
Hello, The problem wasn't that you used a 2A charger. Don't worry about buying the same charger. Just see what port you need and what voltage. I have been using a 2.1A charger to my phone (my phone came with a 850mA output). The device will draw as much current as it needs.
I got a problem. It doesn't want to turn on without a usb charger or wall charger. It puts a charge icon on the screen for a few seconds but then goes off. And then comes back to showing battery icon (which falsely shows full apparently). It does this in a loop until you unhook power supply. I tried to turn it on with power adapter normally and it does show RCA screen but goes off before it loads then goes back to charge icon and loops again like I first stated. Wondering if the battey is dead. Do these have lithium ion batteries, they are not supposed to have memory in the batteries? Mine is a Galileo pro
Wow, had my doubts but may be actually getting somewhere after unhooking the battery and rehooking it 10-15 minutes later. It shows 5% now and keeps charging now. So hopefully in a little bit I'll be able to turn it on. Literally haven't used it for a year and a half. Think what was happening was when the battery showed full. It was cutting the charging and because the battery was dead, kept shutting off and and then trying to charge again. Im hopeful this helped and will be back to post update later
Good video. FYI, you will not get a shock from the tablet so gloves are not needed. FYI, when tearing apart something like a tablet it is recommended that a static strap be worn. Thank you for sharing

My Voyager Pro is responding to being plugged in, but the battery level just stays at zero. So, whenever it's plugged in, it goes between the charging screen and the insufficient battery screen. I also have to flash the stupid thing because it was stuck in fastboot mode and unable to mount any functions in recovery mode before refusing to start up altogether. These issues all popped up within a span of 24 hours. Technology hates me.
