I love my Modern Renaissance palette, I know it's been around a long time but I'd really like a 7 looks video on it. Not a lot of channels go back and revisit older palettes and lots of people own that one. It would be nice to be inspired by new ways to use it now Fall is coming. Really enjoy your videos, you've got me thoroughly hooked on Sydney Grace shadows!
YESSSSS!!!! This.. no one revisits older palettes and that’s a real shame. Just because they’re older releases doesn’t mean they’ve disappeared. People still own them and want new inspiration with them.
The original Norvina was a gift for Mother’s Day so it has a special place in my heart but it’s also one of my most used ABH palettes. It has the wearable purples & pinks but also has great neutrals too. The rose gold shimmer in it is one of my most used & favs! I think it would be a fun one for a 7 looks video 😁
The Jackie Aina’s my favourite too. I agree with the other commenters who have said the *original* Norvina (in the purple velvet packaging) is definitely worth adding to your collection. It’s my second favourite (ahead of Sultry, Soft Glam and Carli Bybel). I’m wearing it today - love in the crease, soul in the outer corner and dreamer on the lid - but you can really just pair any of the mattes with any shimmer for an easy two-shadow look and it looks great. I would highly recommend it.
I guessed your order correctly! I would recommend Norvina, but I’d skip Modern Renaissance. Not enough shimmers and not worth the hype IMO (though I know I’m in the majority on this one!). Sultry will always be my number 1.
Hi Mandy the Norvina pro vol4 is basically an expanded color story of the original Norvina - with quite a few shades that are very simmilar to each other. The original ABH Norvina is the a more curated color story.
I have three ABH palettes: Carly Byble, Jackie Aina, and Norvina. I think Norvina is beautiful! I've only had them a couple of months so I haven't gotten a lot of use out of them. If I could add one more, it would be Soft Glam. I would love to see you do seven looks with any of the palettes on your wish list. If you like the color scheme of the original Norvina palette, I suggest you look at Viseart's Paris Edit. I have that, too, and I love it!

The metallic shades are magical, and the mattes never disappoint) 3) Soft Glam (gorgeous for all the reasons you stated. Just reliable, warm neutral goodness!) 4) Subculture (love the colors! It is trickier to work with, but still great quality and the shade Adorn is what metallic bronzey dreams are made of)
What a fun video! I have many of the same ABH palettes, and I honestly surprised myself when I realized that Carli Bybel was my #1! There’s just something about that palette that I absolutely love. As far as the three you’re considering, I’d recommend the Norvina. Modern Renaissance is beautiful, but inspired so many eyeshadow trends that I just don’t think it would be as exciting to use as it once was. The larger palettes just seem chaotic, and when I’ve watched people’s videos on how they’d rearrange them, they don’t seem as interesting.But the Norvina is amazing. I have a dupe version, but the colors work so well together and the undertones of the browns (slightly mustardy) mixed with the purples and pinks create looks that I can’t get anywhere else in my (very large) eyeshadow palettes collection. That dusty deep lavender is amazing, and some of the lid shades have such subtle but surprising reflects-I really feel like that palette deserved a lot more love than it got. It seems more basic than it is.
I love these videos! Mine is #1 subculture, #2 MR, #3 Norvina, #4 Soft Glam and #5 Carli Bybel. I’m really cool toned and most of the shades in soft glam look so bad on me. If it were more neutral/cooler it would be my #1 or #2. I know sultry is cooler but I want all the mattes and satins soft glam offers for every day natural looks.
I’m wearing the Norvina palette today. I found it a little intimidating when I first got it as I’m not one for too much pink or purple but I have discovered that you can get some great looks pairing them with the browns. The warmer browns go great with the pinks for a sunset look and the purples go great with the neutral browns. Plus you can definitely get an easy all neutral look too. The colour I struggle to incorporate most is the lighter matt purple, but I’m definitely glad I have the palette in my collection x
I love love love modern renaissance. It really introduced me to abh. I still use and still love it. I don’t have a lot of those colors in other palettes. I knew it would be sultry and Jackie Aina I love those too!
Yes, I was right about your choices and order. I have the Norvina palette and the modern renaissance as well. I think you can do without the modern renaissance, but the Norvina palette is so beautiful and I think, no I know, you would love it.
Modern Renaissance is a great complement to the Jackie Aina palette. It has every transition matte shade you could ever wish for. Buon Fresco and Love Letter are two of my all-time favorite shades. I enjoy the Norvina palette as well. It's soft and romantic and has great lid shades. If you can get them at a discount, they'd totally be worth it.
I've just recently bought the Norvina palette, and it so so beautiful. I cherish it, and love it, and it makes me happy to think about and use. Although I don't have nearly as much makeup as you do, I have quite a bit, and this one still stands out to me as something very special. This presuming of course you would like and enjoy the soft pinks, purples, etc. What really convinced me to finally buy it was thatgirlshae's live swatches on that palette. Just too pretty.
When you ask me now in summer... Carli Bybel is spring/summer for me. Jackie Aina and Subculture is winter fall, Sultry Winter. Soft Glam, Norvina, Modern Renaissance are year round. And I love them all... although Subculture is more a companion palette. I like to put on a base with an easier palette like Soft Glam to blend out and just add a pop of colour out of Subculture.
Would really love to see a seven looks with the OG Norvina and Modern Renaissance. A mash up video with those two would be really fun! Kind of an old school throw back, but new to you video!
My favorite ABH palette of the 3 I own is definitely the soft glam. The soft glam is the perfect fall palette with all the burgundies and deep browns. The modern renaissance is great year round. And I purchased the carli bybel because of soft colorstory and wearable everyday colors, especially in the spring. These three are the trifecte of ABH palettes for a simple and neutral lover like myself.
My guess was the Jackie Aina palette in first place, I have 4 Abh palettes, my favorite at first was the Norvina but now I'm liking my Sultry one again. I wish I had Soft glam🤔 may need to add that one. You make such cute videos, I enjoy everyone. So needed after a long week.🥰
Jackie Aina is the only abh pallet I own because it's the one that excited me the most. I never caved for Modern Renaissance, but it's beautiful. I have 2 of the singles that are in it.

I have similar bone structure, face shape, and coloring to you. I really like my Modern Renaissance palette, but I feel like it is mostly darker shades than I want. I have very deep set eyes and have panned the light shadows and barely made a dent in the mid tones, because they are very intense for daily wear.
I was sent the Modern Renaissance in error when I ordered Sultry from the ABH website last year. I ended up keeping it and ordering Sultry again, even though the duty here in Canada was as much as the palette. I have to say I use the Modern Renaissance as much if not more than Sultry. I was surprised by how much I liked it and how much I use it when I had no interest in purchasing it, It is a beautiful eye palette.
I only have the Norvina and I love it! I just got the Jackie Aina very reduced, because of so many excellent reviews, including yours :-) and can’t wait to use it...
I love the Norvina palette. I love that you can layer the warm and cool tones to bring them more into the middle, if that makes sense? Modern Renaissance is kinda meh now. The shimmers are not as interesting as I would like, and a lot of the warm transition shades look really similar to each other. I love my Subculture and Sultry though

Also if you decide to get the larger Norvina palette, wait for a sale! The first three volumes were recently half off for $30. That sale plus maybe a Sephora fall sale discount ... could make it a little more worth it. I personally am not interested in it, I feel she missed a huge opportunity to make those palettes more MUA or creative-type friendly by not making the pans removable and magnetic like Natasha Denona’s are. I adore ND palettes for that kind of modular ability, rearranging the colors really makes the palettes feel like “mine,” and I think more people would buy the larger Norvina palettes if they could rearrange the chaotic layout into something that made more sense to them. Just my rambly thoughts!
I own the Norvina vol 4 and I just love it so much. I love that you can do something bright or something neutral and the shades blend so nicely. I would defiantly recommend buying it.
Original Norvina palette is my favourite from ABH. But I definitely think that older palettes should be used in videos because a lot of people have them and it’s nice to use the products that you already have. It inspires me to pull out my older palettes that I haven’t used much

Random ABH palette story... in May 2019 I used the blue and pink from Riviera for an eye look for my best friend's gender reveal party ❤ And my favorite ABH palette is the collab with Makeup by Mario. Just AWESOME 😁
You must try the subculture palette. I have hit pan on like 5 shades. So many gorgeous options and looks can be created. I also love the sultry and carli ones !!
I have the Moon Child Palette & got it on sale at Marshall's for $14 I use is as light eye shadows on the days I just want a hint of color. I have never used them as highlights, none even come close to a color I'd use. And it's the only ABH Palette I will probably own
I love my Norvina palette. I feel it is a nice soft colourful palette. I own 3 ABH palettes and have hit pan in each of them as I love them so much. Sultry is probably my least favourite with Soft Glam taking the top spot.
I loooove my ABH shadows, I feel those palettes never disappoint me! Unless you really want it and get a great sale I don't think you need the modern renaissance. Although it is beautiful and great quality I'm sure you have those shade in other palettes. But the original Norvina... that one is one of my go to. It's amazing, it leans more on the purple-cooler toned which is unic in my collection and those metallic they are incredible. They have a formula different from any of the other palettes as they are sooo creamy you can apply them with a dray brush and get perfect pigmentation. I would recommend that you get that one and I would really love to see a "one palette 7 looks" video!
Hi Mandylea.. get the #4 ABH palette. If you think about it .. the Modern Renaissance and the Norvin are in this one big expensive Palette in my opinion.
I recently purchased the original Norvina on sale....shimmers are beautiful! The only one you have that I don't is Riviera. I was never drawn to it. I also really like Amrezy. And Modern Renaissance. That one is almost like being on auto pilot! 😁 I'm probably one of the few people on earth that loves Subculture!
If I were to recommend a palette I would totally go for the original Norvina 14 pan palette 💜💜💜 it's beautiful and I wouldn't mind to see a 7 looks on it either ☺
I Love both the Norvina and the modern renaissance. I think you would love the Norvina the most. It took me a little while to get used to it because I have a medium warm complexion but I love it.

I had only enough to buy one ABH palette. I had to decide between the Jackie Aina or the Carli Bybel because they were on sale. I ended u getting the carli one bc when I saw the Jackie one was intimidating with darker colorful shadows. Thankfully I watched Carli video introducing it. I didn’t really how the colors changed by blending the colors or wetting them. I had no idea. I am Also grateful you did the 7 looks. I’ve tried some. Thank you.
Yay - I guessed your ranking. I must have been paying attention to your preferences in the past videos LOL. I honestly decluttered my Modern Renaissance. I know it's a cult fave. But I bought it for those beautiful berries and they just didn't stand up to the hype for me personally. The rest of the colors, as pretty as they are - clearly, I already could recreate elsewhere. And I have also always eyed that original Norvina palette. It's SO PRETTY... clearly, I am on a no-buy, but I have to say - if in future years, I see it at TJ Maxx or some other sale, I might cave. It's creeping back into my mind every few months to this day. From all of your palettes, I have the Riviera and Sultry and I adore Sultry and haven't tried the Riviera much yet. I really want the Jackie Aina... again, maybe one day. Though, the purpose of the no-buy is to curb my purchasing and let's face it - I have WAY too much eye shadow as is. But something tells me that won't stop me from buying it in the future again, just hopefully, more mindfully. Loved this video and you look absolutely stunning! This is always true, but I love those earrings on you and the color of your shirt complements you so well.
Norvina is one of my favorites from ABH! I highly recommend it! I used to own Modern Renaissance but I panned that palette last year. I think it can be duped pretty easily and the shimmers are not that impactful. Wasn’t ever one of my favorites.
Really liked this even though you have only 5! It was also fun to hear your thoughts on the palettes you don't own. I would love to see you do video on Norvina 4. I have been thinking purchasing that but would like to see more looks with that.
I guessed Sultry for number 1 but as soon as I saw you put it at number 2, I was like, duh, how could I forget Jackie Aina. I don’t have any ABH palettes, but hopefully one day I’ll get to experience it. I do have some Bad Habit & W7 dupes though, including the W7 Seduced palette (Sultry dupe). There’s one silver shade in there that is stunning and have hit pan on it already.
I love the Norvina palette! I just got it as my second ever ABH palette. It has such unique shimmery lid shades! I absolutely love it and I think you would too! I think you can skip over the modern renaissance... I feel so bad saying that because I adore it!!! But it’s pretty much all mattes and I know you love shimmery lid shades. I would love to see a 7 looks with the norvina palette! And more 7 looks videos in general! It really shows the versatility of a palette and if I’m going to splurge and get a high end palette I’d reaaalllyyy like to feel like I’m getting my money’s worth! Thank you for these videos!
I have only purchased the Modern Renaissance which I ended up declittering because they didn’t wear well on me. Norvina has been on my radar a long time but I worry about having the same issue. Costco has it for a great price right now.

I am guessing Soft Glam? It is kinda hard to guess! My fave is my Modern Renaissance!! If I could only keep one ABH, it would be this one for me. I am not sure what it is, but there is something about how these colors work together with my green eyes. And the shimmers in this (esp Primavera) are just lovely. I don’t have the Jackie Aina palette...if I can pull it into my budget before it disappears. 😜

Just ordered the Norvina palette after hearing Jen Phelps rave about it! Your 7 looks videos are my go-to videos (I've probably watched the Soft Glam one like 10 times lol) so I would love to see 7 looks with Norvina if you decide to get it!
I keep considering Norvina and/or Soft Glam but haven't ever pulled the trigger. The Libra shade from the Carli Bybel collab is my favorite taupe of.all.time. but I do wish there was a mocha brown instead of one of the blue shades. On a side note, I'd love to see the Friendcation palette make an appearance in August if possible?
i have modern renaissance and i neverrrr use it, it’s actually one of my least favorite palettes if that helps you! with that being said i’m SO tempted to get the Norvina one too! and the volume 4!!
Mandy! I realized Ccolor just released a Jackie Aina dupe -- dusk to dawn, $10, looks beautiful. You know you've arrived when they're duping you lol. I don't see a Carli dupe on there though.
I love soft glam its my number 1 then sultry. I do have modern renaissance and love it. I have norvina palette. I dont really reach for it. I like the shimmers in that palette more. The mattes are good just not my favorite shades. I have the Amrezy palette too. I got that as a gift. I dont really reach for that one either.Great video.
I have 4 palettes in total - all ABH (Soft Glam, Sultry, Subculture and MR) and I do think it's already a bit too much.. I LOVE the Soft Glam and Sultry but I feel like I could do without the MR and I think I bought the Subculture because I liked the color story but I didn't think about how the shades would look on my lids... I really struggle with this one even though I still like it and use some of the greens sometimes. Paradoxically I still wanna buy some of the others ABH palettes like the Riviera because I don't have any bright colors in my collection, the Jackie Aina because some of the shades are really unique too and maybe the Prism for the shimmers (I still have mixed feelings about the Prism). But if I ever buy these palettes, then it will be IT, I won't buy any other until I finish these ones. I agree with you, no one needs that many palettes, and frankly, I wonder about expiration date? Is it safe to use a palette years after? There are "new products" videos everyday now and it's just getting tiring and annoying. I really miss the good old tutorials. I already have everything I need, I'm not gonna buy new stuff so I don't care about new products but right now it's all you can find on many channels unfortunately. That's why I love your "full month of nothing new" it's refreshing and quite rare on youtube 😊
Modern Renaissance is my favorite ABH palette because the shades are perfect for me. The Norvina palette is beautiful, but the shimmers aren’t great. However, if anyone has a dupe for the shade Soul in that palette, I NEED IT. That’s the only shade I need from that palette.
I am with you on modern renaissance. It was before I was really interested in ABH at all. The first palette i bought was soft glam. I saw it and I knew it was made for me. Lol. The next time modern renaissance goes on sale I really want to pick it up.
I owned both Norvina and the Ccolor dupe, Whimsical. I like Whimsical's formula better, shades were perfect dupes, gave Norvina away. I do think you'd like the color story and Ccolor is much cheaper as you know! In my opinion since you have Soft Glam you don't need Modern Renaissance.
I bought the CColor Whimsical palette and was going to suggest trying that one first to see if the color story is appealing. That way not a lot of money is committed if you fall into the not for me camp. I’m glad I did it that way as I lean towards the Soft Glam and Jackie Aina color stories the most. I thought I’d like the Norvina for the lilacs but I haven’t really touched it much as I bought other palettes in that same haul I didn’t expect to like as much as I do- so you just can’t predict. That said I would love to see some looks with either the Norvina or Whimsical palettes for inspiration so I too can avoid the dreaded dust gathering!
Top ABH: Modern Renaissance, Subculture, Sultry, Jackie Aina, Riviera & Prism. Bottom ABH: Norvina and Soft Glam I like certain colors out of Soft Glam but as a whole, it just looks flat on me or maybe my preferences have changed? The Modern Renaissance is my ride or die. I am constantly inspired by it and I always love the looks I have created with it. It's the only palette I have hit pan on multiple shades and only palette I have bought a back up!
They have the sultry as a vault for 32.50 right now I really want to get it but I don’t love cool tones but the more I watch videos the more I see ppl love it! I was hoping alter ego with stock there’s but I might just have to bite the bullet at that price
I definitely won’t say you “need” the original Norvina, because “need” is a dumb word to use for that (haha), but I will say this: it’s a lovely palette, and I think you would really like it. I love that one for soft, feminine looks. The lid shades are especially stunning.
You make me want to pick my ABH faves out. I'm wearing my JA palette today. I told my girlfriend the Soft Glam would be her best fit. Now after watching this IDK. gotta make a text before its too late. I wish the Saltry would be so nice as a permanent as with the Black velvet one.
I am in the same mindset as you are when it comes to your ranking sequence.....1 & 2 are interchangeable for me because I love them both so much!!! 😍 ABH is crazy not to have Sultry in the permanent line. I don’t think you need Modern Renaissance. When it was released in 2016 it was the dawn of warm eyeshadow palettes and so unique but since then, we all know how many palettes have used that palette as a guide because it was so successful. You have those shades, just not in the ABH formula. Norvina is nice but to me, it’s not a must either. My 2 cents 😊 You look gorgeous as usual Mandy!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have Sultry and Jackie Aina- Sultry comes out on top for me, I like the cooler tones and more neutral. I also have the Bad Habit Norvina dupe and I just don’t reach for that color story much. I know I wouldn’t use the big Norvina palettes - I just don’t enjoy large palettes!
I agree with all you said. Love the colors in soft glam but got their wet n wild dupe and I love it! $4.99 Also I own the alter ego sultry dupe and it’s superb quality. $14.40. I think you should save your money for an ABH new release color story that really speaks to you and would keep your channel growing instead of invest in an older one that won’t grow your channel and probably won’t get much use in your big collection

I have 7 ABH palettes. Subculture, Modern Renaissance, Soft Glam, Sultry, Riviera, Norvina and Jackie Aina. My favorite is Subculture (unbelievable??). I agree there's no point you getting the MR. Anyway 3 of the colors are identical to SG. I got it on a big sale together with SG and I haven't touched it once. As for Norvina I thought I 'd love it but at the end ... nothing special. Kisses (with a mask).

Norvina Vol 4 is gorgeous! It is the only Norvina large palette I have but I adore it. The packaging on it is also very beautiful.

Modern Renaissance is beautiful, but inspired so many eyeshadow trends that I just don’t think it would be as exciting to use as it once was. The larger palettes just seem chaotic, and when I’ve watched people’s videos on how they’d rearrange them, they don’t seem as interesting.But the Norvina is amazing. I have a dupe version, but the colors work so well together and the undertones of the browns (slightly mustardy) mixed with the purples and pinks create looks that I can’t get anywhere else in my (very large) eyeshadow palettes collection. That dusty deep lavender is amazing, and some of the lid shades have such subtle but surprising reflects-I really feel like that palette deserved a lot more love than it got. It seems more basic than it is.
I love these videos! Mine is #1 subculture, #2 MR, #3 Norvina, #4 Soft Glam and #5 Carli Bybel. I’m really cool toned and most of the shades in soft glam look so bad on me. If it were more neutral/cooler it would be my #1 or #2. I know sultry is cooler but I want all the mattes and satins soft glam offers for every day natural looks.
I’m wearing the Norvina palette today. I found it a little intimidating when I first got it as I’m not one for too much pink or purple but I have discovered that you can get some great looks pairing them with the browns. The warmer browns go great with the pinks for a sunset look and the purples go great with the neutral browns. Plus you can definitely get an easy all neutral look too. The colour I struggle to incorporate most is the lighter matt purple, but I’m definitely glad I have the palette in my collection x
I love love love modern renaissance. It really introduced me to abh. I still use and still love it. I don’t have a lot of those colors in other palettes. I knew it would be sultry and Jackie Aina I love those too!
I love the Norvina palette. The colors are unique. I put off buying it forever and I’m not sure why. I’m really glad I have it now.
Yes, I was right about your choices and order. I have the Norvina palette and the modern renaissance as well. I think you can do without the modern renaissance, but the Norvina palette is so beautiful and I think, no I know, you would love it.
I have 3 ABH palettes: Norvina, Subculture and Carli Bybel and my absolute favourite is the Carli Bybel. Love the color scheme 🥰

Modern Renaissance is a great complement to the Jackie Aina palette. It has every transition matte shade you could ever wish for. Buon Fresco and Love Letter are two of my all-time favorite shades. I enjoy the Norvina palette as well. It's soft and romantic and has great lid shades. If you can get them at a discount, they'd totally be worth it.
Soft Glam is the one palette in my whole that I would replace immediately. It helped me discover warmer neutrals. Great video!
I've just recently bought the Norvina palette, and it so so beautiful. I cherish it, and love it, and it makes me happy to think about and use. Although I don't have nearly as much makeup as you do, I have quite a bit, and this one still stands out to me as something very special. This presuming of course you would like and enjoy the soft pinks, purples, etc. What really convinced me to finally buy it was thatgirlshae's live swatches on that palette. Just too pretty.
I miss these palettes so much! Personally, I like the quality of these over the ND palettes.
When you ask me now in summer... Carli Bybel is spring/summer for me. Jackie Aina and Subculture is winter fall, Sultry Winter. Soft Glam, Norvina, Modern Renaissance are year round. And I love them all... although Subculture is more a companion palette. I like to put on a base with an easier palette like Soft Glam to blend out and just add a pop of colour out of Subculture.

My favorite ABH palette of the 3 I own is definitely the soft glam. The soft glam is the perfect fall palette with all the burgundies and deep browns. The modern renaissance is great year round. And I purchased the carli bybel because of soft colorstory and wearable everyday colors, especially in the spring. These three are the trifecte of ABH palettes for a simple and neutral lover like myself.
My guess was the Jackie Aina palette in first place, I have 4 Abh palettes, my favorite at first was the Norvina but now I'm liking my Sultry one again. I wish I had Soft glam🤔 may need to add that one. You make such cute videos, I enjoy everyone. So needed after a long week.🥰
Jackie Aina is the only abh pallet I own because it's the one that excited me the most. I never caved for Modern Renaissance, but it's beautiful. I have 2 of the singles that are in it.
The Sultry palette is called Temptress from Alter Ego and I love, love, love it so much!!! It truly is a stunning dupe palette!

I have similar bone structure, face shape, and coloring to you. I really like my Modern Renaissance palette, but I feel like it is mostly darker shades than I want. I have very deep set eyes and have panned the light shadows and barely made a dent in the mid tones, because they are very intense for daily wear.
I was sent the Modern Renaissance in error when I ordered Sultry from the ABH website last year. I ended up keeping it and ordering Sultry again, even though the duty here in Canada was as much as the palette. I have to say I use the Modern Renaissance as much if not more than Sultry. I was surprised by how much I liked it and how much I use it when I had no interest in purchasing it, It is a beautiful eye palette.
I only have the Norvina and I love it! I just got the Jackie Aina very reduced, because of so many excellent reviews, including yours :-) and can’t wait to use it...
I love the Norvina palette. I love that you can layer the warm and cool tones to bring them more into the middle, if that makes sense? Modern Renaissance is kinda meh now. The shimmers are not as interesting as I would like, and a lot of the warm transition shades look really similar to each other. I love my Subculture and Sultry though

Also if you decide to get the larger Norvina palette, wait for a sale! The first three volumes were recently half off for $30. That sale plus maybe a Sephora fall sale discount ... could make it a little more worth it. I personally am not interested in it, I feel she missed a huge opportunity to make those palettes more MUA or creative-type friendly by not making the pans removable and magnetic like Natasha Denona’s are. I adore ND palettes for that kind of modular ability, rearranging the colors really makes the palettes feel like “mine,” and I think more people would buy the larger Norvina palettes if they could rearrange the chaotic layout into something that made more sense to them. Just my rambly thoughts!
I own the Norvina vol 4 and I just love it so much. I love that you can do something bright or something neutral and the shades blend so nicely. I would defiantly recommend buying it.
Original Norvina palette is my favourite from ABH. But I definitely think that older palettes should be used in videos because a lot of people have them and it’s nice to use the products that you already have. It inspires me to pull out my older palettes that I haven’t used much
I think Modern renaissance is a must have....I'm on my second palette.....always my go to....I think it's a must have!

I don't own any Anastasia palettes but I have a couple of Ccolor dupes that I love: Whimsical (Norvina) and Feverish (Sultry).
Random ABH palette story... in May 2019 I used the blue and pink from Riviera for an eye look for my best friend's gender reveal party ❤

You must try the subculture palette. I have hit pan on like 5 shades. So many gorgeous options and looks can be created. I also love the sultry and carli ones !!
I have the Moon Child Palette & got it on sale at Marshall's for $14 I use is as light eye shadows on the days I just want a hint of color. I have never used them as highlights, none even come close to a color I'd use. And it's the only ABH Palette I will probably own
I love my Norvina palette. I feel it is a nice soft colourful palette. I own 3 ABH palettes and have hit pan in each of them as I love them so much. Sultry is probably my least favourite with Soft Glam taking the top spot.
I loooove my ABH shadows, I feel those palettes never disappoint me! Unless you really want it and get a great sale I don't think you need the modern renaissance. Although it is beautiful and great quality I'm sure you have those shade in other palettes. But the original Norvina... that one is one of my go to. It's amazing, it leans more on the purple-cooler toned which is unic in my collection and those metallic they are incredible. They have a formula different from any of the other palettes as they are sooo creamy you can apply them with a dray brush and get perfect pigmentation.
I would recommend that you get that one and I would really love to see a "one palette 7 looks" video!

Hi Mandylea.. get the #4 ABH palette. If you think about it .. the Modern Renaissance and the Norvin are in this one big expensive Palette in my opinion.
I recently purchased the original Norvina on sale....shimmers are beautiful! The only one you have that I don't is Riviera. I was never drawn to it. I also really like Amrezy. And Modern Renaissance. That one is almost like being on auto pilot! 😁 I'm probably one of the few people on earth that loves Subculture!
If I were to recommend a palette I would totally go for the original Norvina 14 pan palette 💜💜💜 it's beautiful and I wouldn't mind to see a 7 looks on it either ☺
I Love both the Norvina and the modern renaissance. I think you would love the Norvina the most. It took me a little while to get used to it because I have a medium warm complexion but I love it.
I love Modern Renaissance. I want to buy Norvina but haven't gotten to it. I also really like my Bad Habit Retro Love which is a dupe for ABH Subculture

I had only enough to buy one ABH palette. I had to decide between the Jackie Aina or the Carli Bybel because they were on sale. I ended u getting the carli one bc when I saw the Jackie one was intimidating with darker colorful shadows. Thankfully I watched Carli video introducing it. I didn’t really how the colors changed by blending the colors or wetting them. I had no idea. I am Also grateful you did the 7 looks. I’ve tried some. Thank you.
Yay - I guessed your ranking. I must have been paying attention to your preferences in the past videos LOL. I honestly decluttered my Modern Renaissance. I know it's a cult fave. But I bought it for those beautiful berries and they just didn't stand up to the hype for me personally. The rest of the colors, as pretty as they are - clearly, I already could recreate elsewhere. And I have also always eyed that original Norvina palette. It's SO PRETTY... clearly, I am on a no-buy, but I have to say - if in future years, I see it at TJ Maxx or some other sale, I might cave. It's creeping back into my mind every few months to this day. From all of your palettes, I have the Riviera and Sultry and I adore Sultry and haven't tried the Riviera much yet. I really want the Jackie Aina... again, maybe one day. Though, the purpose of the no-buy is to curb my purchasing and let's face it - I have WAY too much eye shadow as is. But something tells me that won't stop me from buying it in the future again, just hopefully, more mindfully. Loved this video and you look absolutely stunning! This is always true, but I love those earrings on you and the color of your shirt complements you so well.

Norvina is one of my favorites from ABH! I highly recommend it! I used to own Modern Renaissance but I panned that palette last year. I think it can be duped pretty easily and the shimmers are not that impactful. Wasn’t ever one of my favorites.

I guessed Sultry for number 1 but as soon as I saw you put it at number 2, I was like, duh, how could I forget Jackie Aina.
I don’t have any ABH palettes, but hopefully one day I’ll get to experience it. I do have some Bad Habit & W7 dupes though, including the W7 Seduced palette (Sultry dupe). There’s one silver shade in there that is stunning and have hit pan on it already.

I love the Norvina palette! I just got it as my second ever ABH palette. It has such unique shimmery lid shades! I absolutely love it and I think you would too! I think you can skip over the modern renaissance... I feel so bad saying that because I adore it!!! But it’s pretty much all mattes and I know you love shimmery lid shades. I would love to see a 7 looks with the norvina palette! And more 7 looks videos in general! It really shows the versatility of a palette and if I’m going to splurge and get a high end palette I’d reaaalllyyy like to feel like I’m getting my money’s worth! Thank you for these videos!
I have only purchased the Modern Renaissance which I ended up declittering because they didn’t wear well on me. Norvina has been on my radar a long time but I worry about having the same issue. Costco has it for a great price right now.

I am guessing Soft Glam? It is kinda hard to guess! My fave is my Modern Renaissance!! If I could only keep one ABH, it would be this one for me. I am not sure what it is, but there is something about how these colors work together with my green eyes. And the shimmers in this (esp Primavera) are just lovely. I don’t have the Jackie Aina palette...if I can pull it into my budget before it disappears. 😜

Just ordered the Norvina palette after hearing Jen Phelps rave about it! Your 7 looks videos are my go-to videos (I've probably watched the Soft Glam one like 10 times lol) so I would love to see 7 looks with Norvina if you decide to get it!
I keep considering Norvina and/or Soft Glam but haven't ever pulled the trigger. The Libra shade from the Carli Bybel collab is my favorite taupe of.all.time. but I do wish there was a mocha brown instead of one of the blue shades. On a side note, I'd love to see the Friendcation palette make an appearance in August if possible?
i have modern renaissance and i neverrrr use it, it’s actually one of my least favorite palettes if that helps you! with that being said i’m SO tempted to get the Norvina one too! and the volume 4!!

I love soft glam its my number 1 then sultry. I do have modern renaissance and love it. I have norvina palette. I dont really reach for it. I like the shimmers in that palette more. The mattes are good just not my favorite shades. I have the Amrezy palette too. I got that as a gift. I dont really reach for that one either.Great video.
I have 4 palettes in total - all ABH (Soft Glam, Sultry, Subculture and MR) and I do think it's already a bit too much.. I LOVE the Soft Glam and Sultry but I feel like I could do without the MR and I think I bought the Subculture because I liked the color story but I didn't think about how the shades would look on my lids... I really struggle with this one even though I still like it and use some of the greens sometimes. Paradoxically I still wanna buy some of the others ABH palettes like the Riviera because I don't have any bright colors in my collection, the Jackie Aina because some of the shades are really unique too and maybe the Prism for the shimmers (I still have mixed feelings about the Prism). But if I ever buy these palettes, then it will be IT, I won't buy any other until I finish these ones. I agree with you, no one needs that many palettes, and frankly, I wonder about expiration date? Is it safe to use a palette years after? There are "new products" videos everyday now and it's just getting tiring and annoying. I really miss the good old tutorials. I already have everything I need, I'm not gonna buy new stuff so I don't care about new products but right now it's all you can find on many channels unfortunately. That's why I love your "full month of nothing new" it's refreshing and quite rare on youtube 😊
Modern Renaissance is my favorite ABH palette because the shades are perfect for me. The Norvina palette is beautiful, but the shimmers aren’t great. However, if anyone has a dupe for the shade Soul in that palette, I NEED IT. That’s the only shade I need from that palette.

I am with you on modern renaissance. It was before I was really interested in ABH at all. The first palette i bought was soft glam. I saw it and I knew it was made for me. Lol. The next time modern renaissance goes on sale I really want to pick it up.

I owned both Norvina and the Ccolor dupe, Whimsical. I like Whimsical's formula better, shades were perfect dupes, gave Norvina away. I do think you'd like the color story and Ccolor is much cheaper as you know! In my opinion since you have Soft Glam you don't need Modern Renaissance.
I bought the CColor Whimsical palette and was going to suggest trying that one first to see if the color story is appealing. That way not a lot of money is committed if you fall into the not for me camp. I’m glad I did it that way as I lean towards the Soft Glam and Jackie Aina color stories the most. I thought I’d like the Norvina for the lilacs but I haven’t really touched it much as I bought other palettes in that same haul I didn’t expect to like as much as I do- so you just can’t predict. That said I would love to see some looks with either the Norvina or Whimsical palettes for inspiration so I too can avoid the dreaded dust gathering!

I like certain colors out of Soft Glam but as a whole, it just looks flat on me or maybe my preferences have changed? The Modern Renaissance is my ride or die. I am constantly inspired by it and I always love the looks I have created with it. It's the only palette I have hit pan on multiple shades and only palette I have bought a back up!
They have the sultry as a vault for 32.50 right now I really want to get it but I don’t love cool tones but the more I watch videos the more I see ppl love it! I was hoping alter ego with stock there’s but I might just have to bite the bullet at that price

I definitely won’t say you “need” the original Norvina, because “need” is a dumb word to use for that (haha), but I will say this: it’s a lovely palette, and I think you would really like it. I love that one for soft, feminine looks. The lid shades are especially stunning.

I am in the same mindset as you are when it comes to your ranking sequence.....1 & 2 are interchangeable for me because I love them both so much!!! 😍 ABH is crazy not to have Sultry in the permanent line.
I don’t think you need Modern Renaissance. When it was released in 2016 it was the dawn of warm eyeshadow palettes and so unique but since then, we all know how many palettes have used that palette as a guide because it was so successful. You have those shades, just not in the ABH formula.
Norvina is nice but to me, it’s not a must either. My 2 cents 😊

I have Sultry and Jackie Aina- Sultry comes out on top for me, I like the cooler tones and more neutral. I also have the Bad Habit Norvina dupe and I just don’t reach for that color story much. I know I wouldn’t use the big Norvina palettes - I just don’t enjoy large palettes!

I agree with all you said. Love the colors in soft glam but got their wet n wild dupe and I love it! $4.99 Also I own the alter ego sultry dupe and it’s superb quality. $14.40. I think you should save your money for an ABH new release color story that really speaks to you and would keep your channel growing instead of invest in an older one that won’t grow your channel and probably won’t get much use in your big collection
Check out Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty, fall 2021! The ABH Norvina palette is $22. At that price, I can justify getting my first ABH palette.

I have 7 ABH palettes. Subculture, Modern Renaissance, Soft Glam, Sultry, Riviera, Norvina and Jackie Aina. My favorite is Subculture (unbelievable??). I agree there's no point you getting the MR. Anyway 3 of the colors are identical to SG. I got it on a big sale together with SG and I haven't touched it once. As for Norvina I thought I 'd love it but at the end ... nothing special. Kisses (with a mask).

I recently picked up the original norvina palette and it’s ok but honestly I wish I would have ordered the Jackie aina one but impatient me got the one that Ulta had in store 😂 the norvina vol4 does look very pretty!
