Thank you Leo and Extreme Philly Fishing for a wonderful trip planned for all of TH-cam to see. Was a great outing regardless of how many fish were caught. Looking forward to another salt trip in the future!! -Johnny Bui
Johnny Bui Fishing Once we are all available again, I am sure we will be hitting somewhere for something. Meanwhile, good luck with the salt-water fishing! You are one of the few Asians in the salt-water community who actually releases undersized fish and follows the creels and limits; thus, keep up the good work! Tight lines!
Extreme Philly Fishing Thanks, and likewise with the freshwater fishing as well. I care about the future, and my goal is to make sure they are there for future generations to come, and i think most people don't understand that concept. unfortunately, the negativity will never stop, but i know how people are quick to assume so I can't stop that. Like we said, a great day out fishing is a great day out fishing, regardless of how many fish are caught.
Leo, SO happy you did an LBI video! That is my favorite vacation destination in the summer, although I usually go down there later in the summer,( as a matter of fact I will be heading down there in a few weeks myself). Sorry you didn't catch more fish but at least you had great weather and good scenery. I hope to meet up with you one day. Tight lines brother !!
aquadan005 Oh yeah! The place is beautiful. I loved it. It was my first time down there and a had a great time. Awesome place to fish at as well. I hope you enjoy your vacation in a couple weeks! And, of course, we will eventually meet as far as both of us keep fishing. Hah. Tight lines!
Awesome, in California we have Surf Perch, Striped Bass, Halibut, and Leopard Sharks in our Surf. It is cool to see what you guys on the East Coast catch.
Unrated Account Oh, man. That's amazing. I actually got accepted at Berkeley for my PhD program, but I won't be going to the West Coast. If I did, though, there would be some fishing! Haha. Tight lines, man!
Ur not telling everyone the spots cause I fish all of barnegat bay and Manahawkin bay and head out barnegat inlet and it's no secret. Love ur vids keep up the great work.
I lived on LBI for 5 years and spent close to 35 years fishing all over the island. If uppity ever want to get out on a boat around the back bays inlet and just offshore I'd be honored to have you
Angeln mit Chris Thank you very much, Chris! Would you mind if I friend you on Facebook? I think I found your profile and it would be a pleasure to have you there! Tight lines!
+Simpsorama50 In this video, it was actually my first time down there. However, I am going to be doing a few trips down there every year now. :) Tight lines!
killerninjao1o Well, it really depends if you will be hitting salt-water or freshwater. If you are going to hit freshwater, then you definitely need a NJ license to fish there. NJ does sell 1-day tourist fishing licenses, in case you decide to spend only one day down there. If you are hitting salt-water, then you don't necessarily need to "purchase" a license. You do need a salt-water registration license; however, it's free and you can register and print online from your house! Hope this helped and I hope you catch a lot of fish down in Jersey! Tight lines!
killerninjao1o Definitely on the NJ website! If you are fishing salt water in NJ, then it's gotta be the New Jersey Saltwater Registry Program. Tight lines!
Jorge Boudet Nice, man! Happy late birthday. Hah. I saw that you caught some fish down there, so that was good! So, I guess now you are back in PA or NJ? Tight lines!
JustRandomThings People down there tend to use all different types of lures for Blues. The most resistant ones are the metal ones, since they are resilient to the Bluefish's teeth. Personally, I would highly recommend Bubblegum Zoom Flukes on a 3/8-1/2 oz. jighead. Depending on the season, you can catch some Weakfish as well! Tight lines
David Ho That's very true. Folks don't usually think about it, but Summer Flounder is one type of fish that gets pounded like crazy! A lot of people take them illegally (small ones); Charter Boats are constantly targeting them; and the trophy ones are 99% harvested. A very nice Flounder never goes back to where it came from! So, year after year, it's more than expected that the Flounder fishery is getting worse and worse. As far as people have this mentality, the fishery is going to suffer.
danny mc tigue I did use squid strips and all I caught were Black Seabass. Though, my initial goal was to catch a Triggerfish. That's why I ended up catching so little! As you saw, the Samurai did great with the Flounder...
danny mc tigue Thank you very much for the detailed map! I just saw the e-mail. As I have replied there, I will definitely mention your name in case I go back there for some fishing. Tight lines!
Evan Winblad That's a very good question. I always use long pants when I go fishing because I often end up being among poisonous plants, bugs and ticks, etc. So, to avoid skin exposure, I always use sweatpants while fishing.

I fished that jetty a few weeks ago and those currents are no joke. Also, you are correct, that jetty is really snaggy .

Extreme Philly Fishing I'm gonna email you with a few spots near the light house. :)

Why do you always wear sweatpants while fishing? Even if it is a beautiful day outside?
