The paper is called BaChuan. I saw a comment on another channel from someone that it is actually Tomoe River paper (maybe what it’s called in Chinese…?) 🤷🏼♀️ Kinbor is amazing - love them soooooo much more than Hobonichi! I’ve used that little planner for a few years now, it’s fantastic! The yearly overview spread and perpetual calendar at the beginning are awesome, and so is the white paper, and no freaking quotes taking up valuable space! ETA, apologies if I missed you saying it was BaChaun - I was typing comments as I was listening and may have missed you saying that. ❤️
Thank you for the info! I have heard that from a couple people but doesn’t seem to be definitive if that’s just a translation for TRP! To me as long is good that’s all that matters right?!
Thanks so much. I just went to the website and got the same one as you for $2.19. WOW. I’m going to use it for meal planning and grocery lists so the cover is perfect. Thank you!!
I used a Kinbor Weeks in 2023 and really liked it and also recommend it as an alternative to the Hobonichi Weeks. When Sterling Ink offered their N2 Weeks version for 2024, i switched to SI because there is grid on both the left and right sides, which I like to be able to write in a straight line.
I love Kinbor! I've been using the A6 for a couple of years, and this year, I also got an A5 that's like a Cousin with just weekly and monthly pages. It really does feel like Tomoe River paper.
Great find! Thanks for the links. The aliexpress website that you linked for the kinbor weeks says it has Bamakawa paper. It is not tomoe river paper, but great to know that it is as thin as TRP. I would love to hear how you are going to use the kinbor weeks along with other planners in 2025. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry for the multiple comments - I’d actually pay MORE for the Kinbor than I would the Hobonichi, but the cool thing is - we don’t have to! I even ditched my Hobo cousin for a Kinbor one year. Hope you love it!
This deal is so good that I get two weeks and one A6 for half of the price of a Hobonichi. I’m still going to get a couple for my main tasks but this is a great alternative if you have side gigs and other projects. Thanks for the tip 😊
I use these every year. I have the bird one for 2025 in the weeks size, the Panda one in A6, and the red snake one in A5 for work. It is Bachuan paper. There is an A5, A6, a Weeks, and a Jibun Techo Biz one. The undated ones are TERRIBLE. They are like cheap copy paper.
@@MomYePlans I use the Weeks one in my bag/purse for appointments and events. I use the A6 for lists, notes, reminders, etc. I use the A5 for work. I draw a line down the slightly darker line on the daily pages and list my meetings on the hourly side, lists and notes on the other side. The A5 monthly keeps track of work events.
Bachuan paper is fountain pen friendly, but you need to test your fountain pens and ink on it to make sure. Some work well and others not as well in my experience.
ETA: in hindsight you may have recorded the longer video prior to people letting you know in your shorts that it’s not TRP, but I do wish you had added a correction on the screen acknowledging that. The paper is called Bauchen or something, it says on the listing. It can be seen on all of the pictures of the planner only (not the planner with cover). It’s 58g if I remember correctly. I’m not trying to be rude in any way, but I have seen others point this out on one of your shorts (and you even posted another short saying that maybe it’s not TRP) so please take another look at the listing before continuing to spread that it’s TRP. I have one coming in to compare and I’m sure that it’s fantastic and is similar to TRP, but the listing does say the paper type. There are multiple shops selling these and nearly all of them had the 58g bauchen (spelling and gsm could be off as that’s from memory) shown in the listing images. I enjoy your content, but just because you want it to be TRP doesn’t mean it is! 😅 this is not being said with mean intentions btw, I hope that it doesn’t come across that way
Thanks for correcting! I don’t think I said in any video that I was certain and definitely glad others caught the correct paper. To me I did genuinely think it felt pretty much the same as TRP and testing the foundation pens I had it behaved the same!

Ooo makes sense!

Thanks for clarifying! And will definitely share my set up! ❤️
If you use Google translate, it says it is Bachuan paper.

I'm curious what pens you've tried on this paper.... any fountain pens? My paper choices have to accommodate fountain pens.
Bachuan paper is fountain pen friendly, but you need to test your fountain pens and ink on it to make sure. Some work well and others not as well in my experience.
I’ve tried it with carbon ink and Ferris wheel press in my platinum preppy and twsbi eco and it behaves the exact same as tomoe river paper!
How does the paper hold up to fountain pens?
Great find!! How many note pages does it have?
Hi! I have the same :) 82 pages
@mariskagyengesi1990 thank you so much!!! I just ordered it too. Going to try it over the weeks this year
Its a bamboo paper
