Might the pass game carry OSU against Utah? Time to worry about the Cowboys’ run game, secondary?

Hate to say it but OK St doesn't know Utahs style of play and it's going to throw them off. Utah hits harder than what they're used to and Utah runs very exotic blitz packages and will cause Bowman problems. I think Utah wins comfortably.

If they do, big tip of the cap. Utah will likely have an extra defender in the box pretty much every snap.

Turnovers will probably determine the winner

They often do. OSU hasn't committed many. I haven't researched Utah's turnovers, but I'm going to guess as a well-coached team, the Utes are pretty solid with ball security, too.

Poor pass defense is a bigger issue than poor run offense.

The pass defense is a mystery because they've got experience and talent back there. Just hasn't been great so far.

What about the weather? Is Utah ready for 100 degree heat? 125 degrees on the turf? OSU has excellent conditioning. I think the heat favors OSU in the 4th quarter.

OkSt has excellent conditioning? There is a reason the the US Olympic team trains at Colorado Springs, training at elevation is like LEGAL blood doping. Utah players train at altitude and that will help them when they go to a lower altitude . I surely don't know who will Sat. but conditioning will not be a problem for Utah. Go Utes!

OSU. Utah’s QB situation is fragile. Rising has historically had difficulties with injuries. His backup is just out of high school and has been thrown into a highly untimely not-so optimal role. The O-line is iffy. Utah’s saving grace is their defense, if they show up. Good luck, Utah.

I assume Utah will bring its offense ... ;) All kidding aside, I think this could be a fantastic game.

I don’t think the logic of “Utah hasn’t been as tested” is a good reason to test them, on defense. They will pass the test.

    Thank you Captain Obvious.....
Yes Barry, Oklahoma State can't go into the game thinking the running game is something that's going to carry them to victory. I'm glad Barry let OSU in on that....I'm sure they're not aware seeing as how Bowman had 400 yards in 3 quarters.
Why do we have an OU homer talking about Oklahoma State? He was born in Norman, graduated from OU, was with the Daily Disappointment and WWLS for decades. Always talking out of both sides of his mouth and the back handed compliments when it comes to Oklahoma State...
Let him cover the Gooners as he's apart of their delusional fan base.

Yo, Free Speech, chill. The ineffective run game is something we're getting used to. Never thought it would play out this way. I personally hope it can change because seeing Ollie run is so much fun.

      Apologies Jenni...
I have nothing against you at all, I think you are very fair and very good at your job. I don't believe the same can be said about Barry....
I've followed Oklahoma State for over 4 decades and the backhanded compliments and subtle jabs directed at Oklahoma State sports have become tedious over the years. Barry did it at the Oklahoman, he does it on WWLS, and is apparently continuing the practice at the Tulsa World. It's just that after all these years, it's getting pretty stale.

@@Jenni-CarlsonI have to agree with Free Speech (I don’t know anything about him) regarding Barry being an OU fan for many years. Only when OSU is doing real good does he pay any attention to them. I’m not saying anything against his character, but there’s more qualified sports writers in Oklahoma regarding OSU than Barry.

      Best is highly subjective...
And a claim of bias towards the University Barry graduated from, has covered for decades via The Daily Oklahoman...a paper owned by the same family Sooner Memorial Stadium is named after is a besmirchment of Barry's character? I also noticed, in your description of Barry as a journalist, unbiased, objective, or impartial, were not words used.
So let me get this straight...saying a sports journalist has bias for and/or against various college programs is now a personal attack against said journalist's character?
Now who needs to chill Jeni?

If Bowman is red hot and accurate with his passing from the git go OSU will win the game. I think the Cowboys will rely on the Air Raid Attack ala Patrick Mahomes 2016 season. We have five receivers, Presley, Owens, Stribling, Ford, and Gordon out of the backfield. I think we could score 45 points on Utah.
