Just to add to my last post/question. I think you are videos are vastly superior to many others and you should certainly do more. They are ‘clean’, to the point and clearly communicated without the rubbish of ‘hey what’s up guys?’, standard/brain dead comments. Please do more!!
Hi VeloGPS As I mentioned your videos are very good and so easy to watch/listen to compared to many others. (Although the music, when it’s there, could do with changing!) Any chance of you doing more focusing on the Edge 1030? I’ve searched on TH-cam and can’t find that many posted by your team. You could have other areas/banners under which you are posting possibly? I have the Garmin Edge 830 and the Round-Trip Course creator option seems the same as you've described. Once your Garmin Edge unit creates the route can you download it prior to riding to view it on a PC to visualize your route on a larger screen rather than small screens of the Garmin Edge 830/1030 ? Thanks!
When showing the settings screen, you mentioned the ‘Lock on Road’ check box as something to select, but you didn’t select it. Was this just an oversight? Should this be enabled or disabled? Thanks for any help.
Hi Kevin - it was just an oversight as I normally ride with this turned on. Garmin explain the feature on their website but I've copied the main thrust of it here: Enabling the setting locks the current location marker onto the nearest road. This will compensate for variances in the map position accuracy. Where normally the device may show you off to the side of the road in an area of low GPS accuracy the Lock On Road feature will keep your current position stuck to the road.

If you are looking for addresses, go outside to a populated location and look at the numbers near or on the doors that are facing the street. (By the way, it's not "130" but rather it's 1030 and does isn't spelled "dus").

Is it possible to see hrm, speed and other stuff while routing? Does the edge brake in when you need to turn?

For some reason the device does not give me any routes. Who can help?

my 130 dus not have address on it

It's s shame a destination cannot be set when creating a round-trip course. Take me to X place and make it a loop. The functionality just isn't there.
