My younger brother Tony was developmentally disabled . He had the mindset of a 18 month old as a 48 yr old man . This was his favorite song .I played it at his funeral as we released red balloons . Rest in Heaven Tony .
Saw them yesterday with vixen, quiet riot, great white and Stephen Percy. Slaughter was the worst sounding I was disappointed! They had the guitars and drums cracked up so loud you couldn’t hear mark sing just shows they are hiding how bad his voice has gotten..
I just watched a band live from 90. That's the year I graduated and I can tell you I miss those days. But I feel ya, I'm 51 and the times now feel like they are flying by.
@@nancyrighetti5862 I'm 46 yrs old and this song always brings me back to those years when I was still free from all of it.. I hope you older dudes remember that freedom.

R.I.P. Tim Kelly Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Kelly was a self-taught guitar player and began his music career around the sixth grade. He was inspired by other guitarists such as Rick Derringer and Peter Frampton. He played in a few bands during his career which included Hellion, NEWHAVEN, and Allegiance (that was fronted by his brother Bryan Kelly) along with other bands. After no real commercial success with these bands, he was chosen as guitarist for the group Slaughter which was formed in the fall of 1988 With Slaughter, Kelly had many writing credits. On the first album of the band Stick It to Ya, he wrote and performed an instrumental piece called "Thinking of June" which he dedicated to his sister who died in 1982
Mark Slaughter does have that kind of voice. Lost mom 14 years ago and dad and little sister 3 years ago. I appreciate Mark's comments to remember my loved ones. And then there's the rest of the family and friends that have passed.
I just saw Stryper and they were killer. Michael did not try to hit the super high screams, but wow, he was flawless otherwise. He didn’t miss a note all night, he just didn’t go for the ones he knew he couldn’t hit. And he’s 60.
Yes Michael Sweet recently cut an Album with George lynch and he sounded good as did George who hasn't lost a step either just a bit older lol.Good sht tho. This here was a Lil rough but the Audio wasn't the best n prob sounded better live 😊
I made a wish for my kind of music to update song for holding on. That's the first time I heard it on the radio I cried and prayed to my mom there's fly to the angels ❤ I will always be a slaughter fan
I met these guys in 1992, on tour with Jackyl, and the DAMN YANKEES, and these guys were so fkn awesome. I'm so glad i I have my pics with, Tim Kelly, especially and Blas.
I'm from Pocatello and I once saw him play at the old garfields bar there. He walked around the whole place singing to all of us face to face. Tim Kelly came and did a small guitar clinic at a hole in the wall guitar shop near the bar in the morning. Tim told me how he had been hanging with the young Zakk Wylde because they just wrapped up touring with Ozzy. We were just high school kids and he treated us like we were his friends. Those cats were the most down to earth people ever. I will always respect them.
Saw these guys with Great White in June at Oak Grove,Ky and was absolutely blown away at how great the show was! Dana Strum is seriously underrated. He has such an amazing stage presence !
Mark Slaughter had a slow start but he did gained a massive following all of his ballads are great inspiration he can still rock on stage absolutely amazing music Who needs Vinny Vince anyway sucks
The way I see it nowadays when it comes to age... in your 40's you're not old at all. In your 50's you're not old, in your 60's you're still not old, in your 70's you're getting old and in your 80's now you are old. But again, age is just a number. As long as you take care of your health and don't let the old person in (your mind) you are ageless. It grinds my ears when I hear a 30-something person (men especially love to say that) "Man, I'm getting old!" . I say: " Shut the f**k up. Willie Nelson is old. Paul McCartney has now enter the old age and they're still out there playing music. I'm so glad to watch videos like this one of bands that I used to listened to back in the 80's and see them still touring and being themselves. Of course the voices are not the same but that's not the point. The point is that they keep on rocking doing what they love.
Being from Vegas in the 80s ,all the local bands knew Mark. He worked at Vesley music store and he used to hook us up with all kinds of stuff we were too broke to get like chords , strings , etc. Real great dude who never let stardom get to his head. Those days were the fucking best here in Vegas. Wish i had a time machine!
It's sad when these great singers lose their voice marks just added 2 the list that I 've seen over months the thing is they can still maintain their voice but it takes practice through vocal exercises. I fuckin love Slaughter the first cd is a classic
Respect for Mark to still be rockin and looking like a bad ass rocker! I missed the gud ol daze when I had long hair...then I got a job and long hair was frowned upon..so much prejudices in the world...
Got to see Webster Slaughter and his brother in 1992 with Winger (really) and KISS. It was Paul Stanley's 40TH birthday 🎂 and he stayed out there for 3 hours, with no makeup and no Ace or Peter, so the new blood did not disappoint! Concord, California Concord pavilion 1992 I was just 21! What a fantastic memory. When Slaughter played "up all night" his voice was so high I still remember it like yesterday! Saw Don Dokken at the Santa Cruz boardwalk few years back. He has no voice left, I felt bad for him with him talking the lyrics instead of trying to sing. We went home early that night 😢
One of my favorites of all-time. And I've been around for awhile.🤘🏽⚡️
