The Lab NYC is BULLDOG Gin and Mixmag's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. This Tuesday, October 29, the buzzing talent Giorgia Angiuli stops by for a rare intimate performance showcasing her captivating live set.
Born in Puglia, Giorgia Angiuli is a classically trained musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist. Very early on she developed a strong interest for electronic music and started to experiment with new live techniques. She uses her voice to create a dreamy dimension intensified by the use of unique toy instruments. During her set she combines keyboards, drum pad and theremin with the sounds of a toy flute, sax, trumpets and many other toys. Mixing all of these samples and loops she shapes a vibrating and energetic groove that sets the dance floor on fire.
Since 2013 she's released on some of the biggest labels, including Stil vor Talent, Crosstown Rebels, Kindisch, Kevin Saunderson’s legendary techno KMS, Harry Klein, Einmusika, Systematic and Suara to name few. In 2018 she released her 'No Body No Pain' EP as well as her debut album ‘In a Pink Bubble’ that gained worldwide attention and critical acclaim. Her most recent 'You Shine' EP on Warung Recordings only further cemented her reputation. Throughout her career she has played at some of the most renown clubs in the world including Berghain, Output, Rex Club, The Egg, Privilege Ibiza, KaterBlau, Watergate and countless others. With such a meteoric rise, her live performance in The Lab NYC is highly anticipated.

Featured visual artist: Bad Pedestrian is the work of Gregory Moncada, a multidisciplinary visual artist from New York. Moncada works in mixed media, digging and collecting subject matter that is juxtaposed with colorful abstract expressions used in Live VJ sets and site-specific projection mapping projects.

@@hipantcii you got to be aware this is pre-recorded, the vocals and most of the synts, the only thing she adds are the most simple snare and clap hits and around 5 keys on the keyboard with simple filter and lfo... sorry man, this is a set with a good dressed up chick, you got to face it man, dont live a lie

She is totally full of rhythm and tunes , and she has learnt to express it by mastering her selected equipment perfectly, showing vast knowledge of techno, trance, goa, psy, .. 👍
I always find it so much more impressive when they can do this with instalments rather than just decks, her, Stephan bodzin and kink true masters of their craft.
I normally don't say things like this, but I'm absolutely blown away by this performance. Georgia Angiuli is an outstanding, high-energy performer to behold!
I can't get enough of this. So damn good, everything about it is on point. Nothing is overdone, never gets boring. She is one of a kind.
Her techno music takes you on an interdimensional journey. Grande artista!

I thought the same thing about this being close to Goa. Such a unique sound that i thought was sadly lost and here it is. This set proper motors along too. Great stuff.

Very impressive. My resonance with this set is in the subtle Classic Goa Trance vibe that is weaving itself in and out of the music. Giorgia....you have done your homework. A lot of essence sounds happening here.......primordial, mystical, tribal, transcendent and cosmic. Nice to come in contact with a kindred soul.
