The strength it takes to flip and move the wheelchair itself is incredible. But how the whole dance just flows is almost magical. I love dance, though my rhythm isn’t great. I don’t need a wheelchair full time but am restricted a bit in moves I can do. I used to make up dances when I was younger. Fortunately my high school had dance as an alternative to gym and I loved it. We had to choreograph our own dances for midterm and a group dance for finals. My group dance was chosen to participate in the Living Arts night my senior year. It’s a night where all the school’s best artist showcased their work. There were sculptures and paintings, live poetry readings, and dance. I had so much fun!
I showed the video to a couple of Grade 1 classes today, as part of a unit about different styles of dance. Despite it being an extremely hot day (with no air conditioning), both classes were spellbound by this video and asked to watch it again when it was finished.
I am in awe of infinite. Each piece I watch is better than the next! I would LOVE to use this piece for my intermediate contemporary/lyrical unit. Is there someone I could contact? Simply blown away.
