She's weirdly the most scientifically accurate Mario character. Low gravity would make you taller, since your growth isn't hampered by gravity. And she's Peach and Daisy's great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great aunt - a long lost ancient Mushroom Princess from long in the past who seemingly hasn't aged because she's been rocketing around the cosmos near/beyond the speed of light, meaning she's under the effects of time dilation, so time passes a lot slower for her than the people living on the Mushroom World. She also just has the best backstory in general. It's really like they put ALL of the thought into Rosalina's backstory, and none into anyone else's.
10:10 I don't know if it's still a thing but on the Wii version of mario, when you get hit by any object you can shake the controller to reduce the stun duration. Works great on unsuspecting bombs, blue and red shells.
Fun fact. If you smuggle (or are ridiculously lucky enough) a mushroom into first place, a perfectly times use will let you dodge a blue shell. Something that was also in Wii (don't know about 8, though. I try but I've never succeeded) is if you press the accelerate button (A) at the perfect moment when landing from Lakitu dropping you back on the track after falling off, you'll get a powerful boost, quickly bringing you back up to max speed.
Since it came up in the early races, iirc there's implications that Rosalina is Luigi's daughter. This includes things such as a line written down by Luigi in-game, that was cut out of the english version for some reason, that says "my daughter... from the future?"
There is also Rosalina saying her father was a *tall* mustached man. Mario is not tall. Luigi seems to be close to twice Mario's height. Rosalina also said she uses a telescope that her father used to own. Luigi is the only one shown using a telescope.

The line of thought I suppose could be, "If everybody else is using this build, therefore being meta, then the smart thing to do to be able to compete or at least do better, is to do the same." The thing is, like the one above me said, is personal preference can overrule that thought, whether due to how the player is used to their preferred build or their opinion on meta, sometimes both. (Quite a run on sentence...) I myself, avoid using meta builds and such, considering they most often than not, make whatever the game is easier and kinda cheap. One could say, "If its an option, then why not do it?" If it's an option, it's an option I can refuse to do, and I'm sure others have that same opinion.

So in my previous post on Chilled's previous video, I said I was retired from doing these. Which is partly why I'm so late to commenting on this. But I can tell after watching the video that Chilled needs these posts in his life. The part that really moved me was when he said "it helps with engagement of the videos." Those words hit deep and have motivated to continue my mission. Now in Chilled's interest, I am going to keep these brief. No more long essays, I assure everyone. From now on these will be straight to the point, no more fluff. Before we get into the breakdown of his current, I do want to address some comments made from some of the others on stream with Chilled. On one hand, it sounded like there might be some jealousy that I comment on Chilled's videos. But I know for a fact that I have reached out to several others on their respective TH-cam videos and left top-notch feedback. Speedy, Cheesy, and Greg all at the very least got a visit from me. I'd try to hit up the others although I don't think I had success in finding TH-cam channels that also featured Mario Kart videos that featured Baby Park. But in the future, I'll see what I can do to share the love to them. At the very least, I owe Tay some love. If not for her, Baby Park would not have shown up at all in this video. I thought I was about to watch nearly 4 hours of Mario Kart and not see one Baby Park. Would a sin that would have been, huh?? Also, I want to be honest, I really didn't think Chilled would read my last post, despite my best efforts to post on it as soon as I possibly could. But upon seeing his performance....I think he read it! His form was much improved. Still some work to be done, but his approach was MUCH better this time! Very encouraging to see! With all that out of the way, for those new in town, I'd like to provide a brief re-cap of how Chilled needs to approach this track (even suited for the exact build he uses): It's all about the turns. You need to cut those as tight as possible. Items are pretty secondary. They are scattered constantly throughout the map that there's no sense going out of your way for them. Ideally, Chilled needs to start his power-slide turn pretty much right when the track turns from pink-to-blue (or blue-to-pink), and he'll want to be positioned about in the middle of the outside lane. Now when he makes his first hop at that point, he'll want to hold left on the stick to keep his turn out wide for a bit. By starting this early, he'll be able to build up a purple boost by the end of the turn. There's another marker that cuts across the track to signify the physical beginning of the turn (or in other words, it's basically the diameter of the semi-circle that's indicated by a gray-ish plank.) When Chilled hits this part, that's when he needs to now switch to holding right on the stick so that he'll cut the turn. Obviously, he'll need to toy with it a little bit, but ideally he should then be able to cut nicely along the yellow border on the inner track for optimal corner cutting. And once done with that, he'll want to line up in position smoothly for the next turn. I will leave the official breakdown for the one and only race in this video as a reply to this comment.
