I laugh so hard when Shiro, so cute swaddled in the blanket, gets called Babushka!?🤣 This is such a very precious video! Looking at it again, it occurred to me that Suki's motherly instincts to protect her babies is on high alert when that gas tank refill truck sits out there honking. Is it possible she knows the gasoline truck is potentially explosive? Can she get the scent of the gasoline somehow? Poor Suki girl, she is such a "good instincts momma". 💔
But I have tried wrapping my pet with a blanket,and of course it has given some positive result, our pet at least got rid of too much of shivers and looked better.
@@mygirldarby That sometimes works for my Chihuahua, but the Shiba... forget it. She just really wants to be held till it goes away. She paces the floor looking for a place to hide, but until it's gone completely, she shakes & gets frantic. She just wants to be held. 😢
brycat61 I learned from experience its best to let the dog come to you if she wants you to comfort her not try to do it on your terms but on hers even though you mean well. they are smart they will come to you if they need you but if they do not right away you can talk to them softly if they are shaking 9 times out of 10 most will eventually come to you to hold them some right away .I mean Suki usually goes to them then they either let her up on thecoach for cuddles or she jums up and a lot of times husbun is there to od her a comfort too he is always there if she needs him he really is a very sweet and caring husbun not just a bum bum addict LOLhe also loves his kiddos

You were right, Pierce. I wept for all the original family members involved, especially during Mashu's rehoming time. Yori seemed less attached, so, he likely enjoyed becoming the center of attention at his new home with children and a big Samoyed dog brother. Clearly, Yori showed pure joy to see Oliver again. But Mashu, on both visits, seemed much less expressive, muted, maybe looking for his original family. I'm sure Matthew loves Mashu, and he's providing a loving home with a sweet Italian Greyhound brother. But Mashu may have been effected emotionally, by being taken away from his original home & family, seperated from his beloved daddo & mommy, his partner crime-fighting twin brother, Yori. Oliver is very careful to find loving owners to provide good homes for each sweet potat.But it was sad to see how the normally exuberant, joyful & expressive Mashu seemed subdued when reunited with his original hoomans Maybe Mashu needed more time to adjust to his new life with his new family. I got the ShiroSuki 2020 desk calender, wonderful photos of the year of Mashu,Yori & Raya. Hopefully, we will see the twins meet again at a family reunion. Don't know if Yori or Mashu were spayed by their new owners - hope not! Hope Raya will bake some potats with either one! Wish I could move to Malta so I could adopt a ShiroSuki puppy or grandpuppy. 😄

Poor Suki, I hate how the driver just blasts the horn...there really should be another way to let people know when they're in town. :( My cat acts the same way she does, whenever there's a lawn mower, a semi-truck or even a police car driving past our apartment and making noises, she gets super tense and shaky and even having me around doesn't help her much(she sees me as a comfort pillow, a momma, and someone she can trust wholeheartedly). She stops purring and just sits still, looking around for the noises and gets upset by them. It's really sad, cuz my cat is a 6 month old stray kitten who used to live on the streets, before she was brought to a shelter and we adopted her. No matter the age, animals will unfortunately be scared of anything or anyone that makes loud noises, as animals tend to have more sensitive hearing compared to people...

Just a word of advice for Suki's fear...my Ozzy's 14 now but when he had fear we'd give him his favorite treat and he'd feel better. Now he hangs out front and when the trash trucks come...no fear!

That truck person can be suggested to use a bell...when he arrives at the location he can ring the bell to.let ppl know that he is here to exchange the bottles.. This way there is reduction in noise pollutuon due to honking and also our princess suki would not feel scared. The suggestion can be given to the local govt authorities

Really a good suggestion, it again depends on the fact that how much actually the truck driver is sensible enough to understand the depth of the situation and oblige for that.
The truck should have a speaker installed to play music as he comes into the neighborhood, like an ice cream truck. Just a nice melody instead of those darn air horns that blast someone's ears off! The truck horns are probably upsetting to some of the humans in the neighborhood, too.
I feel suki just my dogs when there is a fireworks.. What I can suggest at the hour of the truck, before it delivers put some music so she can be distract, a little less she will not hear it that loud Mashu is bringing her mom the toy.. Sweet thing
