    For Piano (drums optional)
Bach goes to Cuba (He can really Salsa), is my first semi-professional piece in the sense that this is leagues above any of my other works, and that I refined it again and again to both look and sound like a work from a professional composer. I am sure there are mistakes that I have made that I don't even know about, however it is still the most harmonically and rhythmically complex piece I have written so far.
I originally tried to write a classical piano piece, however 30 seconds in I subconciously began writing salsa harmony, and so I decided to experiment with the two genres. This work is a result of the classical-salsa fusion, and a well known figure to bring it home. The original name for this piece was 'Rachmaninoff goes to Venezuela', but the piano was more bach-esque paired with the fact that this sounds a lot more like salsa than joropo.
