ippos mode has gotta be 1 of the best in 1's you have a aoe combo extander a grab exstander and a dash starter and a 70% ult hes demon for baiting evasives and baiting mode
only people that say ippo are bad are either brainrot children relying on the new characters or people that dont know how to combo and just run away spamming ranged moves
Bro i ran into someone saying ippo was braindead cause i cooked him. And ippo has air combos as well, thats why I main him And even better, In mode do this combo, make sure they have no evasive, 3 m1s into sakki combo then 3 m1s uptilt dempsey roll and they die
him not being "viable" in 2s doesnt make him bad at all, in 1s a good ippo can run the fade with about 80% of the roster and win. the 20% is his bad matchups like bambietta or goku black who can really just avoid close confrontations the whole game [but if an ippo gets close to them theres nothing they can do]

@@ohm8334 Reliable neutral moves? Ippo negates aerial slam downs via liver blow and also punishes anyone willing to throw an m1 out in neutral to bait him again by using liver blow or gazelle punch. Liver blow can then be used to start a combo by simply just dashing??? [not hard is it now] and gazelle punch while not necessarily a combo starter, can punish people for throwing moves out in neutral to get an upperhand due to it breaking super armor. If put under block pressure by anyone m1'ing you can clinch to reverse it and get into advantage state. Its really easy to cheese people with ippo close range. Ranged moves require patience to overcome, as an ippo player myself not all matches are constantly in close range obviously, but you have a solid gap closer and ways to punish people for trying to get close which forces them to play ranged and play to their likely "one" ranged move [unless its a bambietta or goku black which as i said is a really bad matchup on paper]

Your 1 has insane start-up, gets easily punished if blocked, and takes up a crazy amount of meter, on top of having a crazy 30-second cooldown. Your 2 is a good combo-extender, and the only move in your base kit that doesn't suck mad balls. Your 3 is by far the worst guard-break in the entire game, having one of the smallest hitboxes, one of the shortest hitbox durations, on top of having high-startup, low damage, a comically long cooldown, AND NO ARMOR. Your 4 does low damage, has high start-up, an incredibly small hitbox, and it makes you cartoonishly slow. Your 5 takes up half your mode bar and all of your meter, only has Super Armor, will do a trash-ass 30 damage through Super-Armor, is entirely negated by Hyper-Armor, and has insane endlag even if you land it. Your awakening, on the other hand, is easily one of the best in the whole game, guaranteeing a kill on top of giving you a full heal. Shinra needs a huge rework. He shouldn't have as busted a mode, and so shitty a base. You can really tell the Devs were just lazy with him, and it's sad. He's literally just a better Saibaman at this point, bruh.

Met some downies saying ippos ass and is countered by any character who has a ranged move. I proceeded to destroy them with ippo in a ps nonstop 5-19
no one has ever called ippo bad he has a free 70% combo
Thing is he gives way too much evasive bar and will always lose m1 battles against sword using chars hes still one of the best chars tho

the only bad part is the mode. Comparatively to other modes other pre free release characters its super weak but ippos base is insane
I think if they make his dash ability in mode track the opponent like vegetas rush of midorya jump move the mode will be very solid
