Strasburg Rail Road: Santa Claus Specials Dec 7th 2024

It has been almost 7 years since our cameras had visited the Strasburg Rail Road for the annual Santa Claus Express trains. Running every hour and half hour, SRC 2-6-0 89 and SRC 4-8-0 475 put on a stunning show pulling the sold out Christmas specials. Locations include the meet at Groffs Grove, Esbenshade crossing, and the Red Caboose Motel. Bonus footage included of the 2 evening runs at Groff's Grove. I’m happy to hear the true voice of number 89 it’s been a long time since she has had her CN 4 chime whistle most likely it’s been absent for 10 years but that’s just my guess correct me if I’m wrong

@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan it sounds close to the CN, as that's what I thought it was. I was told it was a B&O 3 chime, but I actually have one, and it sounds nothing like that lol Whatever that whistle is, I think it suits the engine well!
