Is it still worth playing, i wasnt fortunate enough to come across this game until the past 13 hours, but some people say its too easy to be op now and it ruins dungeons
The best part is every time he encounters an annoying dungeon, he says how annoying it is, and also ends up saying that he loves it exactly because of that. Calling it annoying is a compliment.
this is how this genree, and so far ALL games of this devs are fundamentally blawed, becises the devs caring not for balancing of bugs, and selling a lot of dlc instead. this game died fast, it is abandoned, and it had nowhere to go. dumb devs keep making games of this genre, and so far no one solved the issue, that this genre is as far away from fun as possible, and all about annoying or misleading others.
7:29:48 the last bait is that there is no bait if it were my dungeon nothing would give me more pleasure than wathing someone examine my act of mercy because I instilled trust issue after trust issue for half an hour.
Can't believe I made it through this entire thing, lol. Great video, love your attention to detail and your ability to solve great puzzles and make even better ones. Evil ones. You're a torture machine, man, I love it.
In regards to the whole inner voice discussion, not only do I not have an inner voice I don't have an inner anything.. no lights no sound no nothing, but I have always found people discussing things like they're in her voice very interesting (after I found out they weren't being metaphorical when I was like 20 😂)
A vr mod for this would be hilarious. especially if the replays of VR ppl trying your dungeon showed their actual head/hand position to get their reations
So this video made realize there was a trial and im so glad i tried it here my pros and cons, Pros: great concept, visually appealing, core mechanics like movement feel sturdy, and the amount of replay ability is very good. Cons: dont buy on pc the community is a low 100 playercount and most of them are people that call them selves speedrunners but they are just cheesers so without crossplay your OP’s wont see alot players playing them, the ranking system is garbage once you realize that you can effectively decide whether or not you wanna spend 15 minutes on the fleshed out OP or 40 seconds cheesing an easier OP there are no penalties for abandoning OP’s thats why speedrunning is the top of the leaderboards boards not those who have a higher OP completion rate, so for a game thats premise is to design bases to kill people to do a complete 180 and encourage people to just do easy OP’s and not be penalized at all is mind blowing. Buy on the xbox market that way you can play on pc through xbox app console players typically play your raid until they complete it unlike the 50 people that be playing daily on pc, I typically would make fun of that type of community but i think they do that enough to themselves 😂
What do you mean by cheesing? I run double swords, no shield or bolt thrower. It's the hardest equipment imo but it's the most fun equipment. Yes, speeding through outposts can be a problem. But only if you don't have a bit of building experience. There are plenty of ways to punish speed runners. Some outposts are so long that it doesn't make sense to pick apart every single trap if they are placed in bad spots. Speed running is not an issue if you invest some time in your outpost design.
I've been going through these old VoDs and when I saw the title, I thought "Open Beta" was part of the game's name for some reason. "Open Beta: Meet Your Maker" Made me think the game was themed around playing as the only sapient character in an unfinished game who gets hints of the truth of his reality partway through the story and the main mission becomes finding a way to speak with the "maker". Since the game would be meant to be unfinished, there would be intentional glitches, incomplete content, simplified code editing, and occasional sweeping changes introduced by the "dev" as the story progresses. Kinda makes me want to start working on that.
So unfortunate that this game has become mostly abandoned (playerbase-wise) now. Such a good concept, but there are a few technical problems (replays mostly) and a lack of new asset content to keep the game fresh as well as some much-desired features like larger build areas and build areas without all the permanent blocks or the ability to place the gen mat yourself in your base build.
You are an absolute Master! at making a kill house, I can't wait to get this game an also see the other content you make for this game. Going to hopefully start making killer labyrinths but first I must learn from The Mighty Thor! Keep up the great content, you have so much great potential here on TH-cam. /\ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ "Edit: P.S 8hs and 57mins and 51secs loving every molecule"
I played this for a bit. Most people just build near impossible kill boxes. Though I have been through a few fun ones. I built a small base and I used the pathing system to hide my NPC spawn then record then time then coming into rooms behind people lol. Fun times.
It kind of sucks real bad how that replay that got corrupted didn't register his deaths, so his mats weren't anywhere for you to pick up. That seems like a bug that just robs you of the resources
Honestly the infinite rez seems fine, but I feel like they should have a system where you are unable to revive them until the trap or minion that killed them is destroyed. As for the corrosion blocks, how would you revive them if their body was melted by acid?
Honest question, whenever youre shooting and you lose your bullets. How in the heck dont you see the bright flashing blue indicator of where your bullets are xD
10:33 wouldn't your first super-dense trap room get absolutely wrecked by a single grenade? EDIT: Oh, I see you mention it yourself when watching other people replays
there was another game...cartonish game...might be shut down...forgot the name but it was medieval and you can pick some classes. That game was a bit better...this one is FPS and its a bit mmmm not my type
sadist-ragebait-games are ALWAYS better watched than played. dungeon-designing online games always instantly devolve into range-bait. Playing and enjoying this does NOT make you look smart or decent. There are better games than rage-bait, where you can still be VERY creation-sharing and destructiv, with increasingly difficult challenge, like "from the depths" or any minecraft-in-space-like (with ai-fleets that draw from player-design-pools). core difference is, that you share (ai controllable) vehicle designs, and end up with multiple factions of multiple fleets, and any design may be used by anyone. -> there, the most rage-bait that I managed to create is to make tiny cheap short ranged laser ships, so the ai tends to spawn a LOT of them as one fleet, and they are fast and hard to hit, but also always scale EXACTLY to any other fleet-strength., and not less. this genre sadly is ALL about misleading people, which very quickly comes down to building your dungeon with the main goal of wasting time of foes, or be otherwise annoying. THE most successful layout is then a boring-maze-of-chance, where intruders must early chose between 3 or more doors, 1 of hem has the goal in it, and all others have VERY long time and ammo wasting dumb mazes. You also have secrets within secrets within secrets just to waste time. This developer is known for being on record for caring absolutely nothing for fairness, fun or VERY BASIC balancing, in favor of promoting "be annoying for progress", as they had to be dared to play against 4 people-with-flashlights to admit on a live stream, that flashlights were too strong in their blinding-mechanic. negative steam reviews paint a much worse picture, as expected: - many un-adressed bugs lead to many easy exploits, addressed way too slowly. - devs focus monetizing dlc over fixing game breaking bugs. - game ended up abandoned early, but not before selling battle-passes. - "a mess where uploading anything but troll levels or spam levels was shooting yourself in the foot because you would get less resources out of it." - time wasting mazes "poorly solved" by just adding an item, that shows you the shortest path to the goal, did not appease maze-makers. - base-building is an insignificant part of the game, because raids progress you much faster, and you need progression before doing more novel base building. - in a game about ammo management, some things arbitrarily never run out of ammo, making them dominant.
Thor's dungeon is just 'The beatings will continue until morale improves' in locational form.
I desperately need another 10 hour long meet your maker video with all the dlcs and shit. love your sadistic mind big dog.

our king of the pirates has uploaded a 20 hour video
Yeah, not milking it into 20+ 15-30 min vids is appreciated for sure.
Another good channel for long videos is Pikasprey blue.
This game really flew under the radar. I wish more people played it, it seems like great fun.
I dont even like tower defence games... so why did i watch almost 10 hours of this? Why are you so charismatic? What day is it???

Bough the game 3 days ago because of this stream and I'm already 22 hours in - loving it!

negative steam reviews paint a much worse picture, as expected:
- many un-adressed bugs lead to many easy exploits, addressed way too slowly.
- devs focus monetizing dlc over fixing game breaking bugs.
- game ended up abandoned early, but not before selling battle-passes.
