This song got me through a bad divorce trying to stay true to myself while trying/fighting to see my kids; showing no matter what was against me I'd stand strong and that my kids would one day see the truth; they are through their eyes. Thank you Myles & Alter Bridge! Keep rocking \m/ \m/.
At the beginning yes but you can also tell Kennedy waved his shit stained finger over it towards the end. Stapp would never sing that melodic waffle. Stick to actual lyrics man!
@@inflameslp311 I love the first AB album the whole thing feels that way to me. They get more complex with amazing tracks with the other albums but I still return to the first one often. Its still got that Creed style of Mark playing his guitar ultra clean then kicks into wall to the wall distortion which I love. Don’t get me wrong I love the heavy AB stuff too but the style of this song just is awesome.
@@WVUScoredAgain Oh believe me, I've got all Mark's catalogue. I love it too. But it's the same problem in reverse: Myles doesn't sing harmony on Mark's solo stuff. I really dig when they sing harmonies together. But thanks for the good idea.
Just saw them live in Detroit. One of the only bands that sounds better live. Less studio compression, more natural sounding. Everything was like the album just BETTER!
This was obviously left over song from Creed..Myles made it amazing.. notice first 2 records have that creed sound..when Myles started contributing to song writing the sound changed.
First record yes; Myles wrote approx half the songs starting on their second album, and played lead and rhythm guitars on it. Creed smell already gone by Blackbird💪
I was at this gig and I know what you mean, but in this case to me it felt like the audience being flat and the venue having around 2-3000 seats tarped off contributed to an overall flat feeling for most of the concert. I believe this was their first time at the Hydro and it felt just that bit too big an arena for them yet, coming off the back of the pandemic where it was clear a lot of people were still reticent to get more into it. Plus, it was a Tuesday ☺️ The best gigs in Glasgow are almost always Friday and Saturday nights ☺️ Wasn’t AB’s fault, it just was what it was, and you could tell they weren’t feeling the crowd as much.
I was there as well. The Hydo is a visually impressive arena but so many bands I’ve seen haven’t enjoyed it there (Muse, Black Stone Cherry, Mumford & Sons). The acoustics aren’t great and the audience is lost in the size of it. AB should have played the Barrowlands or O2 Academy (Godsmack were awesome there a few weeks earlier).
He’s finally looking his age - a few years into his 50’s now, after looking 35 for 15 years:) He’s always slim, but looks like he might’ve lost another 5 to 7 lbs too here… makes you look older - especially next to mark who obviously looks like he lifts weights a bit.

Don't give up dude!
Mark Tremonti is thee most under rated guitarist of all time. Change my mind..

Your voice is a one in a million!!!!💜💜
alter bridge is awesome i love this band
Another goosebumps when the pre-solo part comes. As always... My first ever to heard song from AB. Still feels fresh to me. Thank's man.
You can totally tell this was meant to be a Creed song that never made it before Stapp imploded the band. Great tune.

Same tuning as Higher, I believe.
@@nickswildweather1308 same tuning as my sacrifice.
My exact thoughts the first time I heard it. Sounded just like a Creed with an unleashed Mark Tremonti.

God, I wish Mark would sing more. He and Myles are great when they harmonize together. I'll take all I can get.
Check out Mark's band Tremonti. He sings lead on all those songs and they're awesome!

Very good recording. Thanks for sharing.
Mark Tremonti, the drummer and blue eyed beautiful man Myles are great!

I never knew Garth Brooks could play guitar like that
Lol! Garth only wishes he could play guitar and sing as well, and look as good as Myles does while doing it! 🤣
What is an Alter Bridge
how come Filippo Inzaghi is now a rockstar
I fucking love this band, but the routine of the constant touring must be killing their relationship with their older songs. They look out of it.

Yeah this is my favorite song but they seem like they're just going through the motions on this particular version.

Honest question. are they still a Christian band? Haven't kept up much w them
Creed?
You really have missed a lot in the last 20 years man
@@mizark183 lol yep. I mean alter bridge
Alter Bridge has never been a Christian band
no.... Myles is an atheist..

I wish that Scot Stapp can perform this song too
Just no
Are Mark and Myles wearing True Classic tees?
