Report from the Anti-ULEZ protest yesterday afternoon at Trafalgar Square on Saturday 18 March 2023. We speak to Harrow Council, Hatch End Councillor, Matthew Goodwin-Freeman (who aged only 23, spoke up so powerfully and eloquently directly against Sadiq Khan - which has been viewed over a million times on the internet now) plus of course the community directly affected and concerned by the ULEZ Expansion due at the end of August this year across the whole of Greater London. Young people are interested, I live in a small town in Hampshire so ulez doesn't directly effect me. However I do think that this ulez is a cash grab and I don't think it's the right thing to do. I'm 26 turning 27 in October and if I wasn't working 6/7day weeks I would attend a rally like this

Simple answer is every council do what Essex council have done, ban ulez signage. There a4e too many signs in London as it is and anyone unfamiliar with the roads are bound to fall foul of something.

Look up who’s financing ulez? It’s a load of company’s and organisations that ‘need’ to increase their esg scores. Does an increase in your esg score mean you have to stop polluting? No, it means the companies pay money to ‘off set’ their carbon score. Basically it’s a scam.
The US, U.K., ALL THE EU, RUSSIA combined produce less carbon than China. Who are doing nothing to reduce theirs! China build 1-2 coal fired plants every week. One of the reasons they need more coal stations is to convert to electric for their growing EV use. How does that make any sense? Clearly it does not. If you do bother to dig deeper than what the msm tells you, you’ll find out that it’s actually you, who are the moron. So best not eh!

No, it is entirely about clean air. If it were more affordable, it would just become a cost of living as opposed to an actual tax on highly emitting cars.

The air quality has been steadily improving for the last 50 years, and I can't see that getting rid of a few old cars is going to make a massive difference improvement.
It's just stopping the poorest people in society from being able to use their cars.

If there’s safe public transport running 24/7 7 days a week frequently to get to work and travel I can’t complain. Stop complaining if your into the night life going out on a night drink etc expect it to be expensive. Driving order takeaways 4 times a week. Going to expensive high brand supermarkets. ulez likethe congestion charge has nothing to do. With air pollution it's just more money for the government to do whatever they like with. Just like the supermarket charge for plastic bags sounded like a good idea but when you think about how many they use in a week and what they cost wholesale,probably about £1 for a thousand then they charge 30p a pop
