Thanks for taking the time to do these man ! The full scores are fantastic but a bit tedious to read on a computer screen, especially for action cues ^^
First of all, thanks a lot for all your score online, they are an incredible tool for composition and orchestration! For all you music nerds here, I would like to point out that the "map texture" at 1:17 uses a Dm/Abm polychord and not a Dm/Bbm. The mistake probably came from the transposition of the Bb clarinets. Anyways, keep on the good work!
OK, you win. y' got me. WHERE is the analysis? I was waiting the whole video for you to talk, but, unless the video was SERIOUSLY circumcised when it was uploaded to TH-cam, you didn't say a word. What don't I understand?
Doesn't sound anything like Stravinsky, all JW chords are jazz harmonies or clusters. Of course there are bits in Jurassic park and star wars where he lifts passages but even then they are not the same
Even John Williams, who is usually brilliant, couldn't save the mess that is the sequel trilogy. What happened? His score for the Star Wars movies has always been among his best work. But in the sequel trilogy movies his music sounds positively boring . I guess he couldn't be bothered to try too hard for these painfully terrible films.
I disagree with both of you. I didn’t think the music was lame, it sounded fine to me. People are going to throw shade at me for admitting this, but I actually loved the sequels. The prequels, to me, were _not_ that great. The sequels were more enjoyable to watch (with respect to action scenes/adventure) than the prequels. They had their good moments, sure, and Revenge of the Sith was fine. But in general, the prequels bored me for the most part.
Really neat seeing where that unused march music would have gone! Great work!

Thanks man! Also, as a horn player your horn covers are absolutely amazing! Truly inspiring.
@@DavidMcCaulley Oh I didn't know you were a horn player, awesome ! And we obviously share the same taste in film music :)
Well done! I really love John Williams' scores to The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi and I can't wait for the score from The Rise Of Skywalker
Rise of Skywalker is the weakest I have heard. But the film was terrible.
@@TB1M1 I beg to differ, I honestly enjoyed it. It was my favorite one of the sequels.
@@moxieme1174 the amount of plotholes ludicrous, but i respect your opinion
@@tastyteddy3874 Force Awakens was nostalgic because it was a remake of New Hope but the other two were even worse.

Thanks for your commitment to making all of these Star Wars reductions!
Excellent analysis again. Thanks!
did anyone besides me notice Darth Vader's theme when kylo ran arrives at 5:38? XD
Amazing stuff! Thank you
very nice job. the best youtube channel for me
Amazing. Probably your best so far.
can’t believe people trash on this score. it’s frickin John Williams
His most memorable work ended mostly by 2003.
It's still John Williams, but it's definitely not the best John Williams has done.
7:00 is mabey? A callback to Puccini from "Suor Angelica" from the ending "ah son dannata" as to say poe is doomed? Don't @ me😂
Where did you find the scores from the Sequel trilogy? I really wish I could have the full score of the force awakens!
5:55 Are you telling me that he scored the conversation between Kylo and Lor San Tekka?!?
Great as always! How did you find the original sheet music?
Hedwig's Theme at the end?? :D
can you do a score reduction on 'The Ratters'? it's one of my favorite pieces and would really help to see a reduction of it.
Where can we get the full scores? (Not just the suites).
The part at 4:11 isn't on the FYC. How'd you get the audio?
Great Work, I am wondering if this reduction is based on the actual sheet music? If yes, do you know where it might be available?
Jo Ann Kane Music Services ?
Such a good restoration! I still get chills hearing the music here, from Kylo Ren exiting the shuttle to the massacre, it's so tragic yet powerful!
How did you find the notes?
The Map Polychords are in fact Dm/Abm.....two minor chords a tritone apart
Something is wrong with the timing at bar 28 shouldn't it be on the down beat of 3/8's ??
Is measure 11 missing a beat in the recordings? There's no way that the B ending the brass phrase holds for 4 beats.
marvellous

1:17 this is straight up Stravinsky at this point.
It’s straight up John Williams is what it is

Yeah, the films are terrible. Revenge of Sith was excellent as were parts of Phantom Menace and AOTC.
