I just bought my first bike a week ago. Obviously the ninja 400 and have to say I love it it's been perfect in every way. It is one of the best looking most affordable and fun to ride bikes out on the market.
My wife just bought one. It was $4800 out the door gets 63mpg and keeps up with my Vulcan 900 on road trips… it had 1 mile when we bought it 10 days ago and now has it has 998 miles. I can’t keep her off it Iv only rode it twice and I have to say it’s a fun little bike
59 years old. Haven't ridden in 10 years. Last bike was a 1200 Sportster. Bought a KRT 3 weeks ago. Absolutely love it.! I'm going back to the dealer soon to give my sales guy a big hug for not trying to talk me back into the Rebel 500 I was looking at. 🥰🤣
Great choice! My GF was between the Rebel 500 and the Ninja 400 as well. She decided to go with the 400 since it seemed like it fit more types of riding! Ride safe, cheers!
I just bought a used 2012 Ninja 400r for my first bike. I only have my learners permit so I haven’t had a chance to really ride it yet besides doing 10km/hr in my back alley. It was owned by an older gentleman before me and it is in pristine shape. I paid $3000 Canadian and it has 8004kms i posted a short video of it on my page. I’ll post some ride videos once I get my full license.
Is there a big difference in power between the ninja 400 and the ninja 650 from a feel perspective? I am considering both but I'm not sure if the 650 is worth the 2000 more dollars for only a mere 25ish more horse power. Please advise.
Hey bro, I’m in the exact same position as you, considering both bikes. Although I haven’t gotten it yet I’m leaning towards the 400. It is cheaper and capable of doing highway speeds with no problems, the only difference would be going faster than 110 mph on the 650. Another big factor I looked into was insurance, from all the quotes I got from Geico, Allstate, and state farm, the 650 is about $50-$60 more a month compared to insurance for the 400. Overall there’s a lot of factors to consider but it all comes down to you. Like I said I’m leaning towards the 400 bc it has the speed I need at a good price, I don’t think I need to go faster than 110 and I also dont want the tickets with it 😅
I have a Versys 650 which has the same motor as the Ninja 650 and I'm considering going down to a Ninja 400. The lighter weight and shorter seat height is really appealing to me. I mostly just ride for fun and to commute but I'm not a speed demon so I don't really mind losing the power. 😊
i have the same bike same color. i wanted to delete some of the stickers so i started with the ninja on the tank, horrible choice since underneath that sticker its gloss so it looks horrible after you take it off. 50$ mistake haha, the other stickers you took off didnt have that same effect? i was reluctant after seeing underneath the tank sticker so i left them
Used Ninja 400s are hard to come by. Despite the Ninja haing an appreciably lower sticker price, a new Ninja 400 was quoted otd over $8,400 New CB500F otd was $ 8,209. Used 500Fs are easier to find.
Nah. I don't. Started on a 650 and sold it in under a year. It was fun for the first couple weeks, but was bored and underwhelmed after I got comfortable
I have a Ninja 650 now. I will admit I got pretty bored of it once I got comfortable as well but I also got bored of my R1 after awhile lol. I just try to switch up how I ride or where I ride to try and have fun 😂
No, clear no. First I don't like the face. Sport motorcycle to start are gonna cost me 150 euro, with the lowest insurance possible (I don't want to say the price of an mtt2 daytona, cause it's just absurd )
As always, looks are subjective. I think in functionality, it’s great for everyone. I don’t know anything about European insurance costs, I’ve heard horror stories and that sounds crazy 😂
@@WaterCoolerRacer yeah but because he classified as sport, you will pay a lot. Instead for people with good pay, considering buy an street triple s If You're more about sports, the ninja 400 can be cool, but way too much in terms of money
love the mt07 , but in reality.. different categories... sports vs hyper naked and a 400cc vs 700cc.. I think he should of labeled this.. Ninja 400 perfect beginner bike for everyone...

On point! I love my ninja 400. I won't get rid of it even after my second bike. Smiles per mile are high as can be!

Traded my Z400 in and got the Z900. Man, I love the 9
Makes we wanna buy a 400 now! Yet again, another great vid!

One day! I appreciate it!
Just needs a more comfortable seat and a better looking exhaust.

I actually agree with this a lot! 😂 I feel like it’s a tad bit aggressive for my liking but not awful I suppose
I thought my 500 was fun.
I had a 500. Bought it for my wife. Liked it so much I bought a GSXR1100. It was a tad to fast. 15 bikes later here I am looking at a ninja 400…
