Many think that the solution to our economic woes is for the government to spread the wealth around-to take more from the so-called "one percent" and give it to the so-called "ninety-nine percent." Are they right? The Collapse of the Berlin Wall should've been the end of socialism. But unbelievably, many in our own government have enacted a federal takeover of health care and have big plans for an all-controlling, all-consuming federal government. How can the destruction that socialism brings be avoided in America?

Venezuela is a good example of how socialism "works". It has never worked and it never will. On the contrary, socialism isn't supposed to work. The Banksters use it to destroy sovereign nations. They've been at it for 100+ years. Socialism (as planned) always morphs into communism/fascism, starvation and death. History has confirmed this time & time again.

The only money those countries made comes from capitalism. Socialism redistribution is giving corrupt politicians and illicit businesses most of the wealth while people are put into a forced labor at the whims of the government. Socialism kills every time it's tried.
How exactly is this a sermon? Seems more like a political speech. Politics do not belong in the pulpit. Though I do agree with the point of trusting the church more than the government with helping others, I still don’t believe politics is an appropriate thing for the pulpit at all.
@Joshua Miller I guess you would need to define what a “sermon” is. It started with a text from the Bible. The text has bearing on current events and the mindset of the people. More biblical texts were used from the 10 commandments and applied to the history of how the people have their rights to private property, etc. It ended with a Gospel invitation after showing how the Bible applies directly to our lives today. This is how sermons used to be preached. These early sermons (I’m talking about the 1600 - 1700s) formed the basis for the Christian principles of government that gave us our Republic in the US. Today we have bought the lie that the Bible does not speak to principles of government, or what some call “politics.” It does if you have eyes to see and ears to hear. Our founders did. That is why DJK is so respected by those who have the a historical context of the origins of western civilization. HE SAID MORE IN 10 minutes than 10 years worth of the drivel that comes in the form of “sermons” from most pulpits today. One more bible verse for you to meditate upon “ and the government shall rest upon His shoulders.” Wonder what that implies? Look it up and see why “politics” or principles of government MUST be reclaimed by the pulpits before politicians close your church. Oops, that already happened, didn’t it? God help us in our ignorance and apathy. Thank you Jim Kennedy for being light to a lost and dying world. I miss you tremendously.
