I don't think he actually cared about saving her, if he wanted her safe he would have gotten the adults to capture these guys and save Mikasa, but he purposely pre meditated to murder these guys, he just came to kill and the fact that he had no remorse, no trauma like her, he went on being the same after like he didn't just murder people as a child. Like wtf, why did I just realized that now. Still loved the voice acting.
