    That's a helluva lot of concrete for lake front! All the cabins 'round here are lucky if they have a grade beams. The owner's really roughin it at the lake, lol.

    I love that stamped concrete design. That slab turned out nice. Even though the build won't be pumping concrete, I hope you take us along for some updates. I'm a carpenter in Maine and I like to see the different construction methods from around the world.

      I doubt it. On a slab this shape it’s hard to guess where the most pressure will be. What are your thoughts or where would you put them?

    Man, that looks wet. looks like 6" slump. Engineers would be jumping all over us for that, Lol. Never mind my bitchin', watching these vids make me miss driving mixer, (a bit). I also did a short stint as a batch man but it was too boring so I went back to driving.

      It was very hot those days. Really needed a lot of water. It’s paid off because I’m not sure their are any cracks yet.

    We had something like that on our ranch. Our outside facilities were in the well pump house by the windmill. You were not allowed in the main house until you got cleaned up and took off your muddy boots.

    The fan clutch will cycle with engine temp, it also cycles fairly regularly if the AC is on and the truck is stationary. The ac doesn't have to be set on cold either. Like mine, defrost and feet and dash will trigger the ac compressor. Your trucks have a lot more electronics stuff than my 05 sterling though lol. From the videos it sounds like the fan is working like it should

    • @MuddyfeetConcretePumping
      @MuddyfeetConcretePumping  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope so. Just seems excessive to me.

    • @tinysworld1749
      @tinysworld1749 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MuddyfeetConcretePumping I thought so too when I first got the ac working. It’s an air powered clutch so it’s all or nothing unlike a pickup where the fan will move air whether it’s fully engaged or not. In mine the fan doesn’t hardly move at idle. I’m a mechanic but I’m no big diesel professional.
      Running high idle with the pto engaged might have its own demand on the fan, but if you want to test half the theory ask Bill to turn all the climate controls to off for a while on an early morning and see what happens

  • @s10er8
    @s10er8 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The fan clutch sounds like it's working right. As long as the coolant is full it's just hot air temperature keeping the engine hot and the fan is cycling. Just make sure the coolant is full.

      It drives me nuts

    • @tyholm3135
      @tyholm3135 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeff,
      The fan clutch is cycling constantly not because of coolant temp but because the AC pressure on the high side or liquid side is rising up to trip the high pressure switch.
      When the pressure in the high side of the system gets too high, the pressure switch activates the fan to pull air across the condenser and bring the pressure back down.
      You could turn the AC off when pumping and the fan would only cycle when the coolant temp gets warm enough to engage the fan. Hope this helps! Just remember to turn the AC on when you clean-out so your truck is cooled off for the ride home!

    I’m a mixer driver, and I just want to say, that throwing hands and arms stuff pisses drivers off. (What the pump operator did at the beginning of the video). 80% of the pump operators I’ve been around have always seemed to be in a pissed off arrogant mood for some reason ? Communication is key, you can’t always expect people to know what to do either. If people want things done a certain way then tell someone to do it that way then. Just my opinion, but great pour man !

    • @MuddyfeetConcretePumping
      @MuddyfeetConcretePumping  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well we understand what your saying 100%. But what you don’t know is we’ve told that same driver a 100 times once we start to prime out we don’t need to stop the pump until it primed out. And you can see in the video he starts adding water to the load after we started pumping. If you stop the pump before you prime out you take a chance for the prime water to cause the concrete to segregate and plug us up. I respect your opinion and it is valued. Thanks for watching!!!

    Generating your own content again Jeff ??? 🤣🤣
    That was a smooth mix, plenty of sand in it ?
    Slab does look good enough to seal and leave as a feature, have done that over here, had 100mm (4") of insulation and underfloor heating pipes under the slab before we poured, got as good finish as yours !!!
    Time lapse of the whole job was good, explanation of dousing the slab makes sense, and it works a treat !!!
