In other word, right now Erhu is only for the privileged families kids to learn. (Debatable I know) To push Erhu into global stage, you need to make Erhu so attractive and appealing that even average families kids or outside of china kids will want to learn it no matter the cost. To do this, Erhu needs an “inspiring connection” in young people’s mind. That “inspirating connection” could be a movie or an anime like Hikaru No Go. It’s like branding that people “connects” the product with something they love. You can’t love Erhu if it doesn’t have a special connection with people In this case, that special connection is a movie like Hikaru No Go anime Young people love Go Chess because they have the special connection with that anime Hence 卷起潮流 which popularize Erhu into global stage
