In the opening part of his interview, Williams would call out Cedric The Entertainer and several others. His issue with Cedric would revolve around an alleged stolen joke that Cedric would use for The Original Kings Of Comedy, and Williams would tell deny Cedric's previous claims made about the situation. This is the kind of stuff that makes you appreciate Bernie Mac even more. Dude was totally original and never had to steal a joke, and earned the right to be called a "king" of comedy. Katt's always been a straight shooter.

He didn't steal jokes, but he got his persona and style strongly from Robin Harris. But they were both from Chicago I believe, so they I can see how Bernie was heavily influenced. Bernie wasn't no biter tho.
I also recall because I'm probably older than you guys. JB Smoove doing the routine that Katt did with the "every time this song comes on " and telling the dj to stop playing it way before Katt did it.. I think similarities will happen when people are in the same business

I was thinking the same thing. The interview is over 2 hours and I was hypnotised by his presence. He makes me laugh sometimes even when he’s serious and speaks the truth 100% of the time. We need more people brave like that who are in the public because it brings a certain inspiration out where we can all be inspired to dare to be more truthful… 🙏🏼

Mark Curry was a comedy beast doing stand-up. Somewhere along the way his career stalled. It could have been after he was badly burned, I'm not sure. It's definitely believable that some stuff happened behind the scenes.

It’s the comedian’s legacy. Stealing from someone’s jset when they are coming up is like stealing their future. Katt was validated through Cedric's response because, if Cedric was smart with words, he would of responded with something very slick towards Katt. In this case, Cedric just called Katt 'corny' and tried to use his previous accolades to go around Katt's claims.

His manager or bodyguard promised me free tickets to the show he was doing the next night, but he never anteed up. So if he can steal your spot in line, he can steal a joke.

My main point was to say Katt did this interview (and he confirmed it within the interview towards the end) that merely from him speaking his truth the platform in which he was on would become a hub for others to come and share their truths or perspectives and he was well aware of the fact that by him speaking out and responding to so much comedians at once that would swarm the internet and become a huge discussion amongst podcasters and media personalities within the culture as well as Comedians that could choose to use it for material and respond or ignore it and still watch conversations take place around it.
He naturally is articulating that he’d be a lightening rod for many things and that this move would spread through the culture and it has lol

Nah. I watched it. Ced may have been influenced by Katt being in the car but in context the two jokes are different. The set up is different and the ending is different. I don't think Ced stole the joke. He probably got the idea like most comics do from other comics.
