Nice building Chris...you have the patience and knowhow to make it work. Well done ! I'm curious about the Strasburg voltmeter car...does it give an accurate reading as it rolls ? Thank You 👍
Thanks so much for the feedback. I may have some patience, but it sure can be frustrating when you receive something damaged! The Strasburg voltage meter boxcar seems to be fairly accurate. When I put the transformer to full power it reads about 16 volts. Great item from Nicholas Smith Trains! I did a video just on that boxcar a while back.
Chris, you've got the worst of Luck on getting damaged Items. But at least you are good at fixing them. You're gonna have your Layout Buildings all ready for Scenery Work. Gonna be Nice.
Hi Matt, unfortunately I do from time to time receive some damaged items. I do what I can, and ship back when necessary. With the layout filling up, scenery work may be on the horizon. My wife keeps mentioning she wants me to add some trees! Thanks my friend.
@@othersideofthetracks Yes trees are great. Alot of my trees are Grand Central Gems. But they are not cheap. I do have other ones also. I've found some nice ones on etsy also. Most of my figures are Arttista and some Woodland Scenics and a few of the Chinese knockoffs. But Arttista makes the Best. They are around 10 dollars apiece. Scenic Express is a good place to get scenery items. And they ship really fast.
Beware if you bought an Oak Point building on sale and it does not work right, Menards will not let you return it or get a refund for it. Poor customer relations.
I recall Menards stated in their 50% off inventory clearance notice for the Oak Point Nuclear Power Plants that they were store display models and some may have damage, the light disco ball may not work or may not rotate, or figures could be missing, and sold as-is.... so it was a total gamble on what you get. I was quite surprised and relieved my clearance sale example was pristine.
Nice video. Love unboxing videos
Thank you, so glad to hear you like the unboxing videos!
Nice building. Menards has great prices but sometimes, product issues.
Cool building and nice price, but yes, sometimes some issues due to the materials involved.... especially when they get shipped.
Awesome 😊
Thank you!

Very nice, sorry it was damaged.
Thanks. Always a risk when getting buildings shipped to you, unfortunately.

The minute you put fragile on the box dock workers throw it. Better they don't know.
Lol, that is probably true!
