Well yeah but technically we lost in the last play of the game. The game was close because we allowed it to be close. Should’ve been 10-0 in first quarter. But it wasn’t. So we got ourselves in a dog fight with a team we should’ve been handedly.
Well as a Ole Miss fan all my life, I’m glad to have Lane, it sucked losing those 2 games that could have easily went the other way but the experts that are fussing going on and on must not remember the years of 2 and 3 win seasons and LSU taking a knee inside the 10 with 4 minutes left of the clock to keep from beating us by 60 points. I’m thankful for the last few years of success because when he’s gone most likely the dumpster fire will return. We are starting to Act like LSU fans every time we lose we want to run the staff out of town, well I promise if he goes he’ll be missed.
No doubt he’s built a great program. I thought when he beat Penn st in the bowl game maybe the choking in big games wouldn’t happen this season but it is what it is

Completely take over play calling and RB personnel decisions, Lane. Parrish’s pass blocking and weis play calls were clear reasons drives would stall. Obviously the OL can block better and dart can make better decisions. But why are there no inbreaking hot routes on a blitz? Why is our 175 lb rb being forced to carry it on 4th and 1 in hurry up inside the 5? Why is that same rb tasked with pass blocking on key 3rd downs where LSU has blitzed ALL NIGHT? Why has UB4 not been playing all year? There are so many questions that lead back to poor coaching. Take accountability. It’s not down to just a few plays at the end. It’s a pattern of bonehead decisions for all 4 quarters. The players and fans deserve better. Be better
Well said and all legitimate questions. Don’t know if we’ll ever hear the truth about Bentley but no one can tell me Jones has looked better than Bentley to take his spot. Play calling hasn’t changed from last year. Why are we throwing go routes instead of hitting the underneath stuff to pick up short yardage. I’m a Kiffin fan and love the strides we’ve taken since he’s gotten here but I feel there has been so much left on the table in these two losses. Now, we are forced to win out. Sure, there are holes that can be pointed out here and there but overall this is the team that could’ve set the tone for future Ole Miss teams. Instead, we’re facing an uphill battle to hopefully squeak into the playoffs and not sure if we’ll be having the anticipation next year like this one felt.

The first is protect the pocket more which seems to collapse a lot which I don't understand. The second is penetrate the opposing offense pocket more. Third is quit with the penalties that are disastrous. And fourth, is don't get frazzled. This is college football!

Were all of our penalties in this game ever mentioned? If so, I didn’t hear it. Those penalties and all of our QB sacks are what lost this game for us. Clean those up and we would have won by 20.
