They've been performing through the late 60's, the 70's, it's and still!! One of the best to do it!! My parents used to go see them all the time in the Bay Area!!
Yes, for a long time they were based in the Bay Area. When I was young my dad worked at night. I went to Scoma's by the Bay to treat my mom to an early dinner. We got there when it had just opened. No one there but us and one of the twins. I told my mother who he was. He was with his family, so we didn't bother him.
Been listening since YOUR LOVE IS SO DOGGONE GOOD, OLIVIA. Praying for Scotty I know it’s hard for WALTER without his twin , like an amputation something is missing😢One of my favorite groups who were the soundtrack to my lust to LOVE. They put on hell of a show too.
They are my favorite group! I've seen them live more times than I can count. I had a huge crush on Big Nick and got to tell him so when I met them after one of their shows. They are all super nice and humble men. Love me some Whispers ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the Whispers. I attend several of their concerts in Baltimore and meet one of twins at my friends home. They are one of my favorite group. Pray Walter gets better soon 🙏. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤ life goes on, this music has brought us baby boomers through our best years may our great grand and unborn keep it and cherish it. It’s your gift from the elders.❤
I really appreciate them for continuing to perform. I'm a huge fan of The Whispers and all the other music from that era of the 70s and 80s. And the Beat Goes On was my favorite song as a child.
Praying the twin is healthy🙏🏽 this group is a total class act full of legends. He is definitely missed but they didn’t miss a beat. The beat goes on 😁Love you Whispers❤️❤️❤️❤️ over 40 year fan here . God keep you🙏🏽❤️✝️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I enjoyed the Show !!!❤❤❤ we were told other twin was sick I was on the 2nd row in the middle right by stage!!! I really enjoyed myself 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had second row seats at a couple of their concerts and let me tell you, they gave as good as they got! It was really something. Prayers for the sick twin🙏🏽❤️. One of my all time favorite groups ❤❤❤❤❤
God bless this brother Scotty. Get well soon Walter. Even though both the twins sung lead on a lot of their songs, Scotty's voice really stood out amongst them. Even though he can't hit those high notes anymore, he's still sounding good.
Wow remember seeing them in concert here in New York city , somewhere in the late to mid 80s or 90s , always loved the Whispers ,, Phyllis Hyman was supposed to be with , when I saw them , remember they said that wouldn't be performing because what had happened rip Ms human
I can hear it, and they came a few years back and sounded fantastic. I just hope they are enjoying their tours. I'm retired, and I can't imagine the grind.
Masonic Temple Detroit New Years Eve, from a balcony view to back stage pass march up to door muscle guy with clipboard in hand looks at me I say Shirley, here to see the Whispers, he looked at his clipboard then looked at me and said RightThis Way, and all the people standing in line waiting to get in someone holler out who is this "B" I look over my shoulder and said "B" that get in.
I've paid to see them in concert four times. Scotty was @ each concert. Walter had Covid, then pneumonia. Only once out of the four times did I see all three of them perform. That was disappointing, but Scotty still gave a good one man show.
@adc2327 you're right but what can you do? You can't say, "Will you please shut up with your loud, non singing, off key behind?! I'm trying to enjoy the music!" Lmbo!
That's a shame that entertainers over 70 still have to go on the road and sing to make a living. Most of them do it because they need the money. They can't retire.
Paul McCartney is a billionaire ,82 years and still on the road, Not because he needs the money but because he loves music and performing. If the twins had all the money in the world, they would still be touring because they love to perform. Plus they still sound great.
I see both sides .some musicians love connecting with their audience regardless of age however there are a lot of our R&B legends that are financially struggling. Even royalties don't pay as much as he used to
@leonardmack9131 however, the difference is, Smokey owns most of the publishing of his songs, where The Whispers don't. Dick Griffey and other writers own Whispers writers royalties. They make most of their money from performance. Also, the only writer in the group , was the incredible Nick Caldwell, the bearded one who passed. Grady Wilkins their MD , helped write their biggest hit with Nick , called " Lady".
I dont want to be that guy but i hate how so many singers/artists are forced to tour well into their golden years with little to no retirement plan. They already dont make money selling records even during their heyday. Its just not fair. I do understand some people enjoy performing but you can tell some of them are tired.
These brothers should be in the Rocking Roll Hall Fame over 50 years they’re well deserved
Wrong color..... You already know this... 😢

I used to go to the Dragon A-Go-Go to see them in China Town, San Francisco; 1969-1970.
Where's his brother?
Missing a sibling is already difficult, but a twin that you shared a life and career with must be another level of difficulty 😢🙏🏾♥️😔!!
Good music ❤
Still have that trademark thick mustache.❤️
They are my favorite group! I've seen them live more times than I can count. I had a huge crush on Big Nick and got to tell him so when I met them after one of their shows. They are all super nice and humble men. Love me some Whispers ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Even though both the twins sung lead on a lot of their songs, Scotty's voice really stood out amongst them. Even though he can't hit those high notes anymore, he's still sounding good.

One conveniently forgets that LEAVEIL is a WHISPER, and Scotty is NOT singing solo!!! 🕺💯🎶
Word of advice. Get your lady. Have some Candles & dim the lights & play this jam. Wear Protection.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love audience participation but it's always the one who is recording that can't sing a lick and usually the loudest.
😂😂😂
@jeep128 you know that I'm not lying. Lol!
@@Truthms-m3r💯% facts 🤣
I hate audience singing. I did not pay to hear my lousy singing or the off tune singing of the person behind me. 😆
@adc2327 you're right but what can you do? You can't say, "Will you please shut up with your loud, non singing, off key behind?! I'm trying to enjoy the music!" Lmbo!
Hope all❤ is well

Good morning
They are missing more than a twin. The whole group is missing.
the others are deceased.
☹️
Oh wow. What happened to the twin?
I was thinking the same thing
@harrisonalleyne8219 I never heard nothing about happening, and they are legends.
He's sick...he'll be back singing soon..
@franklincox1062 Oh, ok. Im glad he's still with us. Thanks
🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
They still on tour!!??? Where
Guessin the other twin was under the weather. Cant picture the twins not singing together.
Why I Thought This Was Steve Harvey😂🤦🏽♀️
😢
Real talk 😂😂😂😂😂

@@groove1722 that's not true:they do it because there's still a demand for their product, which is authentic r&b...and they need the money!;)
Smokey Robinson has written several hundred hits, should own half the world's money in residuals, and he still performs
@leonardmack9131 however, the difference is, Smokey owns most of the publishing of his songs, where The Whispers don't. Dick Griffey and other writers own Whispers writers royalties. He sounds really good but would be better if the audience would shut up though. 😂
At first glance at the opening of this vid I thought dude was judge Joe Brown 😅
His vocals are straining but he's good.
Where is the other twin? I met these guys back when they came to nola
Have you been Ki❤ 4:22
