Its one of the most disgusting things Ive heard from a player to be so protected that players used to literally jump away from him as he slid to not touch him and pretend it was because he slid correctly, lol. Absolutely crazy take by Brady.
In one season, Shaair has taken cheap shots to take out Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence. Thrown punches as well. Just bc the refs missed ejecting him doesn’t means he wasn’t fined or it’s on tape. First time “caught” offenders don’t always get a light punishment. It’s not how justice works. Or else everyone would do all kinds of over the line stuff and know it’s only a light punishment bc I’m a first time offender 😂

Here's an idea, take sliding out of the game. How many times have we seen QBs get concussions from sliding? This is a fast and violent game and defenders shouldn't be punished for a late slide by the ball carrier.
I don't know how anyone could watch the Azeez Al-Shaair hit on Trevor Lawrence and not see him launch after the slide is initiated. That's clearly a dirty late hit.
I rarely agree with Mad Dog, but this is one of those times. I was surprised it WASN’T the rest of the year & just 3 games. I figure there must be something in the CBA that a first suspension for on-field incident can’t be more than 3 games.
The NFL is such a weak league now when hits were appreciated now are demonized. When you could win with a defensive team. When qb didn't run out of the pocket because they knew they would get laid out. This weak league is pathetic.
Stephen A clearly doesn’t keep up with the Texans if he’s blaming Caserio for the 2 bad seasons before 2023. He hired bridge coaches because nobody wanted to come work for us. Deshaun sat out, the defense was worst in the NFL, the offensive line wasn’t good and Deandre Hopkins/Will Fuller were gone and all there was, was Brandin Cooks, Laremy Tunsil, Zach Cunningham, and Justin Reid. We were the laughingstock of sports because of the people that came before him. I would like to disprove his other points regarding melanin, but I have to abide by the YT Guidelines because this is the world we live in now

If this is the quote you're talking about then they are 100% justified in making this statement after they gave him 7 WARNINGS plus 5 fines with no suspensions.
@EthanHarris-fe9zx "maybe do research" bro I literally copied the letter in my comment🤣 his defenders are so stupid. Again, since apparently you never learned to read: THEY GAVE HIM 7 WARNINGS AND 5 FINES. HE DIDNT LEARN AFTER 7 WARNINGS AND 5 FINES.
I’ve never been so embarrassed to be a Texans fan and a Houstonian. I knew we weren’t the brightest fan base in the country, but this level of willful ignorance is crazy.
If he’s been warned 7 TIMES- he should’ve been suspended after the second offense just like other players would be- now he’s gotten a larger suspension as a result of considering the previous offenses and this one. Maybe the NFL is in the wrong- maybe they could’ve prevented 4-5 of these instances with him by implementing a shorter suspension earlier. Now the Texans have to deal with missing their LB in the final stretch of the season, Trevor Lawrence is hurt, and Azeez has been suspended for 3 games. I think it is about consistency- If other players are given one warning and then a one game suspension, then that’s what should’ve happened with Azeez, not 7 warnings and then a 3 game suspension.
He never turned himself into a victim. Also, it has nothing to do with skin color or his origin, it's just sports and the NFL. If you take out a franchise QB, the NFL will take it seriously.
Nick Casero spoke about the being consistency in punishment. Instead of addressing that Stephen A goes off about Nick Casero's short comings as a GM. Jeff Saturday talking about the suspension like Nick Casero said they shouldn't have suspended AL. Nick spoke on consistency and some of the things spoken about AL in the letter from the league. They are choosing to change the subject instead of addressing Nick Casero's comments. QB slides are also some bs when QBs pull the fake slide bs.
He didn't slide until then last minute y'all gotta stop thinking every play dirty and stop telling every QB to slide be that how most of them get injured.
Man, I wonder if Stephen A understands what a defensive players rap sheet looks like. Go look at any other "straight shooting" defender, it would be similar. And you crying about the coach defending his player, is the actual embarrassing part.
right, this year especially you can find any number of guys with a handful of fines. the NFL has been handing out fines for routine penalties. one of those said “facemask” lol
The entire last paragraph of the statement announcing his suspension was attacking Azeez’s character, from an ex-player who has a filmography of cheap and dirty hits.
It's the fact that they didn't reprimand him earlier this season and then just hit him with a three-game suspension without any prior ejections or suspensions this year. It's a bit much
Agree with Doggy. Seeing reports come out that Lawrence might miss the rest of the season. Only fair to suspend the player with the dirty hit for the same timeframe
Only thing stephen a is wrong about is bring up the GMs past tenure. The GM is wrong to bring up consistency for the simple fact of the NFL warning the player on 7 separate occasions. The play was a bang bang play however lowering your shoulder on the hit doesnt help his case

You mean the shoulder that was already injured? If you see a qb sliding you don't touch him you gtfo the way
@@devinsamaroo2971this football guess what if you don't hit him you can lose your job so what you saying is let a QB run and score and don't try to tackle him
I don't know how anyone could watch the Azeez Al-Shaair hit on Trevor Lawrence and not see him launch after the slide is initiated. That's clearly a dirty late hit.
Mad dog is right suspend this guy for the year. Also the NFL needs to come down on the Texans for acting like this was the QB's fault for sliding at all. The guy lead with his forearm he could easily tried to miss him like we see happen all the time. This is a watershed moment for the NFL and Tom Brady saying it was OK he was wrong too, he doesn't care about players safety anymore.
Brady used to kick players as he slid, and theres video of him tripping people. If the league didn't literally handhold Brady and a player did this to him he would be dead. Its one of the most disgusting things Ive heard from a player to be so protected that players used to literally jump away from him as he slid to not touch him and pretend it was because he slid correctly, lol. Absolutely crazy take by Brady.
I’m a black man ! And for Stephen A to bring up race is ridiculous smh
The Texans done hired 3 black coaches in a row and their still racist according to Stephen A
Where was the outrage when Quinnen Williams slammed cj to the ground last year and he missed games with a concussion?
In one season, Shaair has taken cheap shots to take out Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence. Thrown punches as well. Just bc the refs missed ejecting him doesn’t means he wasn’t fined or it’s on tape. First time “caught” offenders don’t always get a light punishment. It’s not how justice works. Or else everyone would do all kinds of over the line stuff and know it’s only a light punishment bc I’m a first time offender 😂
Caleb was inbounds do your home work free game

Because they’re specifically trained not to LAUNCH themselves at the head of other players… lol QBs ARE the product. For better or for worse, it’s how it is and they need to be protected. The rule definitely has to be updated all things considered.

Also based on his Coach's reaction AND Azeez's Tweet?
HE *WON'T* BE "better next time".
If anything, he may be emboldened and be WORSE.
Here's an idea, take sliding out of the game. How many times have we seen QBs get concussions from sliding? This is a fast and violent game and defenders shouldn't be punished for a late slide by the ball carrier.
Here’s here you are at least wrong. It was NOT a late slide. And another. Defenders are repeated offenders. 😮
Doggy is💯that should be ya season chump!
Stop cutting the clips off. Azeez is one of the greatest humans I know and even has impacted my way of life. He is such a humble guy

So he gets a three week paid vacation while Trevor goes to the hospital and his season ends? Sounds like justice to me. 🙄
He should be suspended as many games as Trevor will miss.
They should just turn the NFL into flag football to satisfy all the whining moms in this comment section. ☹️
Ya don't know this player history. He choked Tom Brady on the field.
I would love to debate Stephen A. He just hasn’t met someone who will truly challenge him
I would love to debate Ronald McDonald. He just can't make a hamburger the way Burger King does.
Had his head not hit the turf which is a freak accident ppl wouldn't bat an eye
Stephen A clearly doesn’t keep up with the Texans if he’s blaming Caserio for the 2 bad seasons before 2023. He hired bridge coaches because nobody wanted to come work for us. Deshaun sat out, the defense was worst in the NFL, the offensive line wasn’t good and Deandre Hopkins/Will Fuller were gone and all there was, was Brandin Cooks, Laremy Tunsil, Zach Cunningham, and Justin Reid. We were the laughingstock of sports because of the people that came before him. I would like to disprove his other points regarding melanin, but I have to abide by the YT Guidelines because this is the world we live in now
If you look at it closely he used his forearm and hit him in the chest
Youre just blind. Literally blind.
You're wrong. If you think that it him in the chest. Why did Trevor Lawrence get a concussion from that. They literally medically reported that Trevor Lawrence got a concussion from that!

How fast are these guys moving when the defender has to determine if he can tackle or not???
Did they bring up what Tom The GOAT Brady said about the play?
If you injure a player on an illegal hit you should be out for as long as that player is out at a minimum.
You get a bunch of warnings and then you jump up to automatically three game suspension!? It’s weird doesn’t make sense. There is no consistency.
It makes perfect sense if you watch the hit and how he acted after the hit. But that requires a functioning brain which his defenders clearly don't have.
That’s what Caserio later says, but ESPN didn’t want to show it.
Caserio wants consistency in punishments.
@ You cannot say that he knew at that moment that he knocked Trevor unconscious when he was too busy, trying to get a 300 pound man off of himself. They hit was simultaneously.
He tried to fight everyone after. Maybe if he acted contrite it would be different.
@@zipzapman so the man isn’t supposed to defend himself?? they obviously came at him first after the hit, why would he automatically start fighting on the sideline? That makes no sense.
Should make him stop playing with that arm brace and see how he won’t lead on a hit with that arm again…
I'm surprised no one was even aware that Azeez wore an arm brace on the arm that he used to clobber Trevor.
Azeez knew what he was doing.
It is about what he is off the field too, the way yall have been attacking this man’s character. The way the NFL attacked his character when they released the suspension. Yall made it about him off the field. Stop being pissy when people came after yall for what you’re saying
Azeez got fined for punching a dude earlier this year. He had a dirty reputation for a reason
@ and that dude along with his teammates were already pushing him around on his sidelines what’s he supposed to do. Walk away whiles he’s already being surrounded?
The fact the league didn’t do anything but fine him after he threw a punch in the bears game. Shows he’s been given so many chances
Caserio is delusional
Nope. He’s got his guys. To question Al-Shaiir’s integrity is crazy. Especially who the comment came from.
In what way ? Everything he said was correct
My thing is flagrant fouls are apart of the game. Sometimes an athlete is unintentionally over aggressive and that’s what happened. The QB can drop quickly but if the defender already has his momentum coming hard, locked in, it’s hard to stop.
Let em know mad dog !! 😂🗣🗣
Not one person saying he slid late. Disney controlled show
I love how the only way people are able to defend this guy is lie about the hit. You cant defend this guy while also being honest.
Caserio never denied the hit was foul. He's taking umbrage with the league office questioning Azeez's character in the public.

molly looking 🔥
🤣💯👀

Seems like the ESPN guys didn't read the memo. Smdh😂😂😂😂

right, this year especially you can find any number of guys with a handful of fines. the NFL has been handing out fines for routine penalties. one of those said “facemask” lol

Only thing stephen a is wrong about is bring up the GMs past tenure. The GM is wrong to bring up consistency for the simple fact of the NFL warning the player on 7 separate occasions. The play was a bang bang play however lowering your shoulder on the hit doesnt help his case
